Apple Cider Vinegar Shots
Hey guys! I'm about 2.5yrs post op and am currently getting back on the grind. (Haven't had any regain THANK GOD, but have been stuck at this weight for about a 1.5 yr.
Been looking in to the whole morning apple cider vinegar shot thing to help boost your weight loss. Anyone know anything about this?
Would this hurt the sleeve?
The acidity is probably not good for you. But there is just no scientific evidence that Apple cider vinegar helps with weight loss. None. Zero.
There is no magic fix. Tracking your food and eating less is proven to work, every single time.

this is a fad.
eat protein and very little non carbs vegetables and drink 64 oz of no calorie liquid a day.
eat no bread, pasta, grains, chips, tortillas, corn sweet potatoes, oatmeal or anything else carbs.
eat 100 gas of protein a day and as few carbs as possible. 600-800 calories a day max.
No alcohol.
you'll lose.
Sadly, there is nothing real about this. If there were, everyone would be skinny, eh? But, alas, there are no shortcuts.
Track what you eat, stick to your basics, you'll get there.

I had a non WLS friend co-worker who took it daily. She was always thin, terrific shape. I don't believe from the Apple cider but from her great lifestyle. She said it helped with belly fat! I asked my dentist and was told it is terrible for the enamel on your teeth! I would not take for that reason alone.
To lose weight, someone was making some kind of concoction that "included" apple-cider vinegar, and that article was to sell you some of those other ingredients.
I do shots of ACV, but not for losing weight. I drink a shot every few days of raw, unfiltered ACV (with the mother) for the probiotic qualities. For me, it works faster than any probiotic pills at bacterial balance in my gut.

If you're going to try it, it should definitely be diluted. The pure apple cider vinegar can damage your esophagus, and as another poster mentioned your enamel.
