Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Monday, February 12, 2018
Good morning! I hope you all had a good weekend. Ours was good - Animal shelter training and general cleaning up around here (with pool in between).
QOTD: Do you have a tattoo or would you get one? I was always adamantly against them, but my eldest DD who passed away had the most beautiful one around her ankle of all the Pooh characters against the hundred acre woods. I would tell her that when she was old and in a nursing home everyone would laugh at this old ladies tattoo and she would respond ?Good!?. I am thinking of having a small Tigger tattoo with DD?s name under it on the back of my shoulder (Tigger was her favorite). Younger DD says she would do it with me too.

Good morning, tough to get up and back to the grind today.
QOTD: I like the thoughts of your getting the tattoo for your DD - it's a thoughtful, sweet way to remember her. I personally do not have any tattoos and have a 26 year old son who does not have tattoos! Almost unheard of in today's society. I told him (and my husband) that the only acceptable tattoo is a heart with a ribbon through it that says "Mom" or -my name for my husband, lol. Neither one has bought into that, haha.
B: 2-2-2 special at caf - egg, bacon, english. I shared half with my boss, so it's a 1-1-1 -(half an english muffin)
L: hummus with yellow peppers
D: leftover stuffed shrimp and maybe a little steak
E: weather is warm (40s!!) so a walk for sure
L/V: on track

Today we are driving to Lake County to take my mom to visit my grandmother. My grandmother is 92 and my mom is 73. I am blessed to still have them both in my life.
QOTD: I have a small fish tattoo on my left foot. It is small and has a Christian cross for an eye. You won't see it unless I want you to as it is easily covered with regular shoes. It has two meanings. The first is the cross. It signifies my spirituality. I turned a corner when I was in my 4
0's and now believe. I wasn't so sure previously. The second is the fi****self. My only happy memories as a child were fishing with my Grandfather (who I lost 15 years ago.passed). I've considered getting more color added (it is currently blue and white), but it is on the leg that has the lyphodema so I'm not sure it is a good idea at the moment. Mom wants a butterfly on her shoulder. I may get it for her this year and if so, I will get one too.

Water/Vits: on track - I believe I've finally conquered the water thing. I drink mostly water and unsweet tea with lemon or lime now. It goes down easy and I've been getting over 80 ounces most every day.

Morning! I return to work today, but working from home (for the next 2 weeks). It's nice to have something to do with my time other than stew about a move I can't do anything about yet!
QOTD: I have three tattoos. One for each of my children on either foot. One is the wing of the Goddess Isis (my daughter's name) and the other is a screen with the Northern Lights (Aurora). They are on my feet because my children ground me! I also have a tattoo on the inside of my right arm that says "I Love You." in white ink. It's Jon's handwriting.

This weekend was the Renn Faire, and FANTASTIC! I didn't eat the healthiest. I had Fish, but no chips, Roasted almonds-which cinnamon and sugar- YUM! And I had a couple Mountain Dews. Back at the room it was Fiji Water, 2 egg rolls and Starbucks cold drinks. I am still dehydrated. Got 8K steps each day, but I was also wearing the equivalent of a sofa each day. The corsets I wear are made of upholstery material.
