Another warm day in Florida today. Sunday seems to have become the laundry, extra errands, cooking, etc. day (basically a day to catch up). Probably because it tends to be our unscheduled day.

QOTD: What is your favorite animal and why (pet or otherwise)? My favorite pet is a dog because they love unconditionally and we become part of their "pack". For other animals, I think that wild cats are absolutely beautiful animals, with so much grace and power.

1 year, 10.5 months post-op

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: Crab cakes

S: Cottage cheese and/or yogurt

Last night I went to the Blue/Gold awards ceremony for my friend's kid. We had fun, but even better was being able to see my friend. She was my previous direct report and we had become really close. We shared an office and I missed seeing her every day. She was my right hand and we worked so well as a team. We talked and talked and caught up on a lot of stuff. It was a really good evening.

QOTD: This is a tough question. I don't have one answer. I love all things furry and most reptiles. My home is rarely without at least one dog and two cats. I have had birds (but they are messy) and rodents and rabbits. I have been in love with horses since I was a teen. If I had to pick only one, I guess I would pick a cat. They are the easiest to take care of and earning their love and devotion is something special when it is achieved.

I always loved cats the most growing up and in my early adult years, but DH hated them so I haven't had a cat for 40 years. Now DH says I could have one, but DD is violently allergic so I'm afraid to even touch one and bring the dander into my house.

That's great that you had a good visit with your friend! I miss a lot of the people I worked with too. I'll probably visit my old office in May and go out to lunch with my former team (none of them work there anymore because of the reorg).

Morning! I slept so much better last night but had to take some Valium for muscle tightness. I slept straight until 4:30 and then fell back to sleep until 6:30. I'm looking forward to returning to normal as far as my sleep is concerned. It looks like we'll be going down to North Carolina over the kid's winter break (2/18) to find a place to live.

QOTD: My favorite pet animal is a cat. I love our dog very much, but in general am not a 'dog person'. I love cats though. My husband is the opposite and just tolerates us having a cat, so we only have one. Otherwise, I also love chickens! They have such an individual personality, which you would never guess.

I'm feeling better than I was yesterday, so that's good. We'll see how long this lasts! I'm hoping to get some research done today, and laundry, and skyping with my mom. I think there are a few other things on my list as well, but I'm not ready to look at it yet!

QOTD: Pig, because it gives us delicious bacon! As for pets, I'm a cat person. Life is better with cats. This is the longest period in my life I've ever not had a cat and it sucks. :(

1: protein shake
2: leftover Indian
3: more leftover Indian
4: I'm sous viding a filet mignon, so maybe that.

Good morning, Sunday usually becomes my chore day as well Liz. Had an amazing hike down to the lake with Emmy yesterday, the Yaktrax really made a difference, no fear! I can't believe I went this long without them.

QOTD-It's very hard to choose, but dogs would be at the top of my list. I love them all and would have many more if I could. I would love to foster dogs if I had the room. If left to my own devices I would probably become an animal hoarder:-)

S-1/2 Quest bar

B-1 slice Ezekiel toast w/1tbsp almond butter

L-4oz tuna with mayo, pickles and 1 string cheese

S-Chai tea w/cream & stevia

D-leftover grilled steak, veggie

E-walk with Emmy

Have a good Sunday!

I had to look up Yaktrax! DH used to have something similar as he used to love winter hiking (would do with AMC).

Sunday is definitely the day of laundry, cleaning, & meal prep. :)

QOTD: Cats! I'm definitely a cat person. I love their independence and how they're there for a cuddle but don't get too needy. :)
