Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Saturday, 2/10/2018
So my goal for the weekend is to finally finish my resume. One of my husband's contract jobs is ending so my leisure time is now over. It's a catch 22. Every time I touch the resume I experience waves of anger and sadness. I need counseling. However, without a job, it is too expensive. So I need counseling so I can get a job so I can afford counseling. Hahaha... Ain't life a hoot?
QOTD: Do you like to dress up? What was the last event you went all out for? I hate dressing up. Probably because I never had any 'dressy' clothes. I was able to wear one type of dress and that was it. That is beginning to change so we'll see if my attitude toward dressing up changes as well. The last thing I dressed for was my Christmas party at my old job. It was stressful, but I felt good at the party.
M1: Coffee, PP caramel, miralax
M2: Beef patty and one egg
M3: Brisket and swiss
M4: Sous vide charred pork
M5: TBD - going to a friend's kid's banquet for scouts
S: Something protein forward if needed
E: Nothing specific.
Water/Vits: on track

Ugh, more snow. 3-6" today and some ice tomorrow. I can't wait to move! I didn't sleep well and I'm tired. Today may require a nap!
QOTD: Yes, I like to dress up and I work in a business environment and wear dresses on a normal basis. I don't like makeup though and very rarely wear it. I also love my jeans, haha!

I think I'm getting/am sick. And I'm annoyed. Last night, Art got home and said that he thought he'd gotten the plague at work. Tonight, I feel like crap, and he's left a note saying, "hey, I feel better so I'm going to the dojo." Totally uncool. :P I have zero idea what I'll do for food today. We have reservations for a tasting menu at the new local Indian restaurant, but I'm sort of thinking we should do take away instead because I don't feel good. Sigh.
QOTD: I do like to dress up! But I rarely have occasion too and I'd imagine that what I consider super dressy isn't very dressy for other people. I have a pretty narrow range of styles. I wear athletic clothing for exercise, my standard "uniform" is a silk wrap skip and non-printed t-shirt, and, to be dressier, I have a small collection of fit and flare dresses. Although most don't fit anymore and I haven't needed to dress up recently to have bothered to buy any new ones! I never wear makeup. The last thing I dressed up for was a fancy dinner in December. That was awesome :D
1: protein shake
2: soup maybe
3: hopefully Indian food, maybe something spicy will help my stuffed up head!

Good morning, all.
QOTD: Now that I am smaller, I LOVE getting dressed up. I work in a legal department at a big corporation so I do need to dress relatively nicely for work. I wear makeup every day and do my hair. I love to shop now too - and i never used to -what fun is shopping when you don't feel good in clothes? Those of you still on this journey, it just gets better and better., Also, when heavier, could not wear heels, now i can, although i don't all that often.
B: 1/2 everything bagel with jarlsburg cheese

Shopping is soooo much better when you can actually choose instead of just having to accept whatever fits :)

Oh! But in addition to the plague, Art got me the bouquet of kittens I posted about the other day!!!!!!! I swear I've only been "hinting" that I want this for the last 3-4 years. And by hinting I mean saying, "I'd totally love a plush bouquet from ThinkGeek." :P

Workin' 12 hours today and tomorrow. We got about a foot of snow in the suburbs outside Chicago. Good times. Revision still on the 19th for GERD, and I've kept on target with my liquid diet.
I have never been big on dressing up, but I am slowly relenting.
M1: PP vanilla shake.
M2: PP caramel shake.
M3: 28g unflavored whey in iced tea (unsweetened)
M4: Possibly another 28g of whey depending on how bad the stomach is.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

Good afternoon! Good luck on the resume. I know it can be difficult when you are unhappy about how your previous employer treated you. There are quite a few people I used to work with who are feeling the same way. I was lucky that I was retiring anyway but the "reorganization" left a lot of good people without jobs.
QOTD: I do like dressing up when I can look good, so kind of avoided it during my obese days (because I didn't look good). The last time I dressed up a lot was for my nephews wedding. I sort of dressed up for Valentine's Day last year. I have a class reunion in April for which I have already bought a velvet and lace dress which I love.
1 year, 10 months post-op
B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: Leftover vegetarian chili or grilled grouper
S: Cottage cheese and/or yogurt
