End of January Goal Updates!
Hey goal setters and goal trackers! How are your 2018 goals progressing?
Here's my end of the month update. Did great with some things, not so great with others. I feel like I'm definitely still finding getting my bearings this year. I'll get there!
Professional Development/Education
1. INELDA training - planning for May
2. Continue BS classes - Two classes going now, then one week of vacation, and then two at the last section of the term, and Summer 2018 JUST posted! I'll do 1 class in the first section of Summer and 2 in the third section - they'll have a four week overlap in the middle.
3. Pass all classes with minimum grade of B - working on it.
4. Find a job in my field - Haven't even thought about this.
a. Résumé by break between Spring 1 and Spring 4
b. Find options by end of Spring 4
c. Apply by end of Spring break
Running
1. Get back to running and training after hiatus for reconstruction - Yay rah!
2. Complete second half marathon - It's looking like the fall for this.
3. DC Rock n Roll 5k in March (registered)
4. Navy Air Force half marathon in September (registered)
5. Baltimore 5k in October (registered)
6. MCM10K in October (not available for registration yet)
Fitness
1. Log at least 15 minutes of exercise OR 5000 steps EVERY SINGLE DAY - Finished January with 29/31. This week has been rough due to college trumping everything else.
2. Achieve crow pose in yoga practice - Still getting back into yoga, haven't thought about crow!
3. At least one fitness class a week for first quarter. At least two for second quarter. At least three for third quarter. At least four for fourth quarter. - So far so good this month :)
Weight
1. Achieve normal BMI - 5-9 pounds to go, depending on the day.
2. Body Composition Scan - I hope to do this around my birthday in March.
Self Care
1. Continue monthly massages - Yup!
2. Do one fun thing at least half the days of the month just for me - I managed 11 days this month.
3. Attend local WLS support group OR group therapy once a month - Jan was cancelled due to weather.
Cooking/Food
1. Pick one physical cookbook when meal planning each week and choose at least one recipe from that book for the week's plan - Yes! Had some great cookbooks this year so far.
2. Blog all recipes from cookbooks - Blog is still MIA.
3. Blog all weekly meal plans - Blog is still MIA.
4. Continue Cookbook Club - Yes! Dinner #1 for the year was in January and delicious.
Relationships
1. See my mom once a month - So far so good.
2. One fun thing a week with Art aside from watching TV - Failing miserably at this one.
3. One fun thing a week with Lance aside from watching TV - Not quite as bad here, since Lance and I see movies together and did ParkRun once.
4. Friendships - Quality weekend time with friends at least once a month. - Achieved!
5. Friendships - Lunch date with a friend at least once a month. - Achieved!
Make a Change
1. Local Literacy Council - Nope and haven't thought about it too much either.
2. Attend a meeting (for activism) in the area at least once a month - Nope.
3. Get involved with local Girls on the Run Chapter - Not yet.
