Happy Thursday and February! The weather is supposed to be sunny, warmer and less windy today. We were thinking about going to the beach, but I'm not sure it will be as warm. Maybe we will just do some cleaning here then go to the pool.

QOTD: I am reading Outlander (book 1) and enjoying it. A lot of people were raving about the series but I wanted to read the book(s) first.

1 year, 10 months post-op

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: Either leftover grilled chicken and veggies or going out (swapped out for something else yesterday)

S: Almonds

Oooh. I'm either an awesome or a horrible person because I gave my mom the first Outlander book as a present one year. She got hooked, proceeded to spend most of that year reading all of them, and now she has to WAIT. MUAHAHAHA.

do you have any trouble with pad thai? I recently tried some and thought I was going to die. I did not eat alot of it, but it sat so heavy that I was extremely uncomfortable for hours. I do love the taste tho.

I'm mainly eating the meat and egg out of it, and a little bit of noodles. By no means could even finish a quarter of the dish :)

QOTD I am reading two books right now. James Patterson's Filthy Rich about sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein and Land of the Painted Caves by Jean Auel. J Patterson's is a real life story and I've read Jean Auel's series years ago but I wanted to re-read it because I enjoyed it so much. Since I finished school in December, I have more time to read.

B brownie, corn tortilla, 1/2 avocado, refried black beans, egg

L Premier protein with coffee

D steak with broccoli

Have you read the whole Auel series?

I love this series! Ayla is my hero!

I read it when I was pretty young, and I reread it every few years.

Yes I read these when I was 9. I like to read them every few years because they are so good!

I'm working from home today. God, I love telecommuting! I wish we could do it every day. So I'm home with the doggies and settling in for a good day!

QOTD: I'm not reading right now, haven't been for awhile. The last book I read was a David Baldacci book but I can't remember which one. I love Baldacci's books. Many of them have been made into movies.

  1. Protein shake (I remembered this morning!)
  2. Cheese stick
  3. 4oz chicken breast
  4. Protein shake
  5. 4oz ground beef with ketchup and cheddar

I don't have much room for more, but I would like to fit some veggies into my meal plan so I don't feel like all I'm eating is straight protein. Does that matter? I get my vitamins in so do I have to worry about getting the veggies in too?
