Happy February! I made great progress on my paper yesterday and even managed to take a break to get my discussion post up for the week. Today I'm hoping to finish my paper and get my discussion post for my other class up. I've also got to run out to the pharmacy at some point since I forgot that I had new insurance when I dropped my RX off. Oops.

QOTD: What book are you reading right now? What's it about? Would you recommend it? If you're not reading anything at the moment, what was the last book you really enjoyed? What was it about? (My answer will be in a reply.)

1: protein shake
2: leftover chipotle steak bowl
3: it's leftover night and I'm thinking rabbit stew

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: maybe I'll get out for a walk/run if I have time

How about you? What're you up to today?

I'm currently reading a collection of H.P. Lovecraft inspired short stories by Brian Lumley called "The Taint and Other Novellas." I've read Lumley's Necroscope series and I like his writing, and I'm a huge Lovecraft fan, so I figured I should read Lumley's Mythos stories. They're enjoyable so far and most are new to me (since I've read a lot of Lovecraft-inspired collections!) but I don't have much time to read due to school. I'd probably recommend this book to other Lumley/Lovecraft fans.

Rabbit Rabbit - i don't know the origin, but I know on the first of the month you say, "rabbit, rabbit." At least that's what my children were taught in preschool, haha.

QOTD: I downloaded Fire and Fury - but haven't gotten very far. I tend to fall asleep the minute I try to read - any book! And I love reading.

B: 1 slice multigrain toast with peanut butter

L: pizza/salad Superbowl party at work

D: probably something light since I'm having pizza at lunch - so maybe some soup or yogurt

E: walk the dog

L/V: on track

My bff posts Rabbit, Rabbit to FB on the first of every month. I know she's explained it, but I forget :P I'm tempted to get Fire and Fury, but I haven't yet.

Happy Thursday! Our girls day out was postponed till Friday so we didn?t go yesterday. Had a great day though as I completely took apart our entertainment center, mounted our flat screen and rewired the whole system. My husband is terrible about not removing old cords when a piece of equipment is replaced so there were probably 10 extra unused cables back there. Not a good thing for someone as OCD as myself. Now it is nice and neat and tidy and cable managed.

QOTD: I?m currently reading the Game of Thrones first book. I would recommend it to anyone who likes the series. Books always have more insight than a movie.

M1: Coffee, PP vanilla, miralax

M2: Egg drop miso w/ steak and shrimp soup

M3: LO Chinese (what we ended up having for dinner last night)

M4: LO something (TBD)

M5: LO brisket with mushroom gravy (noodles for family) (another meal that seems to get eternally postponed)

S: Jerky or other protein forward snack if needed

E: Putting stuff away. Walking and standing. Light cleaning.

Water/Vits: on track

I'm planning on reading A Song of Ice and Fire at some point but.. I have this thing where I don't like to read series before they're completed. Which might be a problem with ASoIaF because GRRM sucks :P

From my friends who have read the books and watched the show, though, they mostly prefer the show better as their biggest complaint about GRRM is that he needs an editor and the shows are a well-edited version of the books. :)

I actually read the first book as a senior in high school and I voraciously devoured them... I didn't realize that he was never going to finish the damn series. :-(

I haven'****ched the show, because I'm stubborn. His books could have definitely used some more stringent editing. Therese some particularly confusing sections in book 3.

I wish you lived in Kentucky. I would have you help me straighten out my cords. I look at it, think to myself just forget it, and shove them back behind the TV.

My husband and I always joke that if you lay two cords next to one another, they will knot up by themselves as soon as you turn your back!
