"Mostly being back on this site, remembering how I felt pre opp and seeing the joy of others has been motivating me."

I agree that coming here is making a difference for me. It is infectious to see the newbies all excited about their surgery dates and post op care. It helps me remember how excited I was when I started and I get to go back there every time I read one of their posts.

I weigh daily and log it on MFP. I have a five pound target range and if I am above or below that range for two consecutive days, I resume logging every bite. I've tried to shift my focus from losing weight and the number on the scale to fitness goals. Looking at food as fuel for what my body can now do is also helpful. Journaling helps me identify and appreciate how my life has dramatically improved. I also donated every piece of clothing that was not my correct size and refuse to buy sweat pants so that it is not comfortable to "size slide".

Might sound morbid but my PCP said if I didn't have the surgery and lose weight I would be dead in 5 years. That was back in 2002. I had surgery, lost the weight and I am still here in 2018

Good luck to you
