Was my goal too ambitious?

I am 6.5 months out and haven't lost any weight in 5 weeks. I am drinking 100-130 ounces of water a day. No coffee, tea, alcohol. Calories 900-1200. Carbs 40-90. And usually that's from nuts, yogurt, shakes, a whole grain. And higher carb days are for long workouts or recovery.

I think that I might be at goal/maintenance weight at 200 pounds. I had shot for 190 mostly because it would be a 100 pound weight loss(surgery) I thought I might dip into the 180's. I might just be experiencing the 6 month stall. I can't tell if what left of belly and love handle is fat or just loose skin.

Weight loss can generally be kickstarted by lowering carbs. I'd try a couple weeks of really low carb (30g) and see what happens. I eat 60-80g/day in maintenance but do not include carbs as part of work out recovery.

Those are my latest progress pics. I think I'm pretty close to goal weight. I have no idea how many pounds are left to lose.

Have you had your bodyfat measured? A dexascan is a good way to get an accurate measure. My brothers are both 5'11" and their goal weight has always been 175.

Skin does not weigh much.

I have not had anything accurate. Smart scales and things like that are all over the board. 16-24%. I need to get a proper scan.

Many people here have to reduce calories to 600 - 800 to lose, and eat 1000 - 1200 to maintain.

I'd suggest lowering your calories for a couple of weeks and seeing what happens.

I recommend decreasing your carbs and your overall calories. How many grams of protein are you getting in a day? Chances are you don't need higher carbs for long workouts or recovery - you can do these things fine with protein. (If a workout is over an hour, some extra carbs might be okay.)

Getting your body fat tested might also be a good idea!

90-120 grams of protein. I work out for about 2 hours for about 4 days a week.

Looking great! I agree with the carb advice if you still want to lose a little more even if just to have a little rebound weight cushion, but you've done great getting to where you are.
