Good morning! I hope you all plan on a relaxing or productive day! We are hosting friends for football watching and dinner. I'm making a no-noodle lasagne I found online (the noodles are vegetable, but there is meat in it).

QOTD: Do you follow football and if so who are you rooting for today? If not, then do you have a different sport/team you like to watch? I tend not to watch the games early in the season, but when the Patriots are doing well and it is the playoffs, I do watch and cheer them on. If they win as well as the Vikings, it should be interesting as many of the people in the park here are from Minnesota (and many like us from New England).

1 year, 10 months post-op

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: no-noodle lasagne (zucchini and eggplant noodles, pepper, mushrooms, cheese, turkey sausage)

S: cheese, nut thins and hummus

Good morning! So today Jacksonville will find out if the Jags will go to the Superbowl. Amazing. I can't wait. So you know what I'm doing this afternoon. Normally on a football day (old normally, not new normally) I would be prepping a lot of finger foods like wings, and stuff wrapped in crescent dough. Today, I'm making tail on shrimps and roasted chicken bites. More than one thing has changed about football day and I can say I am very happy with the changes!

QOTD: Umm... see above! We follow pro football, but we don'****ch college football. We not much into other sports, although my mom does love ice skating and bull riding (go figure!).

M1: Coffee, PP vanilla, miralax

M2: Egg, Loma linda veggie link

M3: Shrimp

M4: Chili

M5: Lasagna (Finally)

S: Jerky or other protein forward snack if needed before bed

E: Nothing formal. Doing a lot of walking around the house. I've met my step count (1000) for about 5 days in a row. And my knees are feeling it. I've got to get a pool installed for summer.

Water/Vits: on track

I've got a ton of work to do today since I was completely unable to find my motivation yesterday. I've gotten my vites set up for the next two weeks and started laundry this morning, now I'm going to work on my assignment for HMGT that's due tonight. At noon I'll start cooking for this evening's cookbook club and continue doing school work as things don't need attention on the stove. Then it's cookbook club and, once I get home, finishing up anything I didn't get done earlier in the day. My school deadline is midnight. I've had trouble these first two weeks of class due to weird schedules - the guys have been home due to snow days and holidays and that definitely challenges my focus! (Because I let it.) This upcoming week should be better?

QOTD: I've never been a sports-watching person with the exception of tennis and then only when with my parent(s). I'm going to visit my mom this coming weekend and I suspect I will be watching tennis with her!

1: protein shake
2: leftover crispy shredded beef
3: Cookbook Club (I'm taking Cranberry Bean and Farro Soup; and Rabbit Stew. The beans in the soup are called cranberry beans, so it doesn't have cranberries AND beans AND farro.)

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: yoga!

I went to college and grad school as an adult and though I enjoyed it at the time, I don't miss it now! So much work and deadlines on assignments. And group projects were really tough for many reasons as an adult student. Some retired people take college classes for something to do, but I'd just as soon take line-dancing, etc (LOL - sounds old).

Thank goodness my current classes don't have group work, as it's even worse when the classes are online I've found. :/ My challenge right now is that my classes are only 8 weeks long and there's just so much crammed into those 8 weeks! On the one hand, it's nice to only do 2 classes at a time, but I almost prefer doing 5 classes at a time for 15 weeks.

I did normal length classes in Fall and Spring, but always took 2 classes in the first summer session which were compressed like that. It was definitely a challenge!

Yesterday was beautiful and only slightly chilly so the kids and I walked to the park instead of driving, which was a first. They thought it was great fun, and I was surprised the walk just wasn't that strenuous for me!

QOTD: I am a diehard Steelers fan because of my dad. I love it because it is our thing, and since I have a ton of siblings, having that with my dad has always been really special to me. Last week was a heartbreaker! As for college I am equally as fanatical for the USC Game****s (mine & Nick's alma mater). We also follow basketball (Nick more than me).

B - Coffee & PP

L - Roasted turkey

D - out (fish probably)

E - yoga
