Hey All-

I had surgery three weeks ago and have lost 16 lbs. I am doing everything right including exercising, but have been at 219 libs for 4 days. Feeling a bit frustrated, but should I be concerned, or just keep doing what I am doing?

Thanks,

GracieTaft

Stay on plan. You're likely hitting the "third week stall"--search for it in the forum. My weight loss was not linear at all--but I consistently averaged a 10lb loss each month. The most important thing is to stay the course and consistently follow your plan.

(16 lbs already gone! YAY!!)

Sixteen pounds is pretty good for 3 weeks. Its really too early to be concerned. Make sure you're getting in all your liquid and protein. You'll start losing more, hang-in-there.

That is a good amount of weightloss! I had a horrible stall around that time. I lost 2 lbs from week 2 to week 4. My surgeon said he wasn't concerned, but I was! Especially since I was eating about 600 calories a day. It's all good. It will pass. The weightloss with VSG (for me is slow and steady, and I prefer it that way. Just stay focused and keep following the plan to the best of your ability.

Hi there....I had gastric bypass Nov 9th....I stopped losing weight around a mth after the surgery. I was so frustrated and feeling like a failure. I found out about the 3wk stall through this site recently. I stopped losing for about a mth and now am back on the losing train. Yay! Just stick to the plan and everything will be ok. Oh and I was told that 17lb weight loss after 3 wks was right on track. So...congrats...you're doing great!
