Liquid Diet Suggestions?
Hi All! I start my 2 week liquid diet on Tuesday! Having my surgery on the 6th!! A couple friends have suggested Bariatric Pal for some variety for my protein and liquids. What were some of your go-to things during your pre-op liquid diet?? My bariatric center's guidelines are 400-600 calories, 60-80 grams of protein, and at least 48 ounces of fluid.
During my liquid pre-op diet, I did almost exclusively Premier Protein shakes. They each have 30 gms of protein and 180 calories, so really easy to stick to the requirements. Costco has them for a really decent price. After surgery, I found they were too sweet for me during the post op period, so I mixed in some Fairlife milk to cut the sweetness.
I used Optimum Nutritions double rich chocolate plus unsweetened original flavor almond milk all shaken up in a blender bottle. 5-6 of those a day for ten days

My program also counted sugar-free popsicles that did not have pieces of fruit (they were "clear"). I primarily had premier protein shakes, as well as syntrax nectar tea protein powder.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
