So for anyone who saw my post yesterday, Rylan's pointer finger is broken and the other finger is sprained. Poor baby. He's so upset that he can't play flag football for the rest of the month. He's the star of the team and looks forward to it all week. He's going to be the "assistant coach" in the meantime, so hopefully that lifts his spirits.

QOTD: I've tried quite a few versions of low carb diets. Always losing between 30-60lbs and gaining it back plus some. I also lost 60lbs on weigh****chers (and gained it back). Then tried weigh****chers again - 10 times over 8 years. I've done calorie counting and Keto. I was pescatarian for a year. I've always been on a diet or completely off the wagon regaining. Back and forth my entire life. That's what scares me about this attempt, but I'm working hard to change my thinking around food.

B - Protein shake

L - turkey and swiss

s- a pickle

D - I'm not sure. Not feeling hungry and have a headache so I may just have another shake and go to bed early.

I just registered for OH today. Looking forward to being a part of it! Curious if there is any feedback on my food choices below. I think they are good, but am open to feedback.

I tried several diets before seeking out VSG Surgery. My whole adult life has been a weight struggle.

I think it looks good! Although I don't think I could do 4 oz of any solid protein at one sitting so soon after surgery. Be careful not to hurt yourself!

Same comment as Cecily. You are only about 6 weeks or so out correct? I wasn't eating 4 oz of shrimp (or any other dense protein****il probably 9-12 months out. Even now I eat 4-5 oz at most. I just went back and looked at my food journal and at your point I was maxing out at 2 oz of dense protein.

It takes me 90 minutes to eat that much. It is cold and not very tasty after the first half hour. I couldn't fini**** otherwise.

I am tempted to cut the portion in half and see where that takes me.

Thanks for the feedback!

One of the rules of my plan is once I hit 30 minutes, I stop eating.

I was just going to say the same thing as Gwen - stopping at 30 minutes is another important rule or else you are giving your sleeve time to empty. It's a learning experience, but you'll do fine once you get used to the routine.
