It's so terrifying that you (and I) lost amounts of weight that some people don't lose with WLS and somehow managed to allow ourselves to gain it back. I won't, I won't, I won't.

I hear you! I'm maintaining, but I'm scared. I really feel like this is my last chance and I don't want to screw it up again.

I've been at or below goal for 6 months. That's a record for me, for sure. I think the thing that's different this time though is that I am truly physically capable. I went ice skating last night and it wasn't hard. I never, ever, ever want to gain the weight back - but more than that, I never want to struggle so hard again.

I feel a lot more mindful of myself this time. The previous times there was this feeling of slipping and wanting to eat mass quantities that I don't have this time and I couldn't do even if I wanted to. I knew intellectually before that it all needed to be a "lifestyle change", but in my mind there was always some bargaining going on - just this one meal, one day, one week and then I'll get back to my good habits. I never did. It was partly because I still had the massive stomach capacity that was begging to be filled. Now knowing it's not an option, I seem to have an easier time. I still can graze though, so that's something I need to be really cognizant of.

Yay Pilates!! Is it the first time you did it? My abs were WRECKED when I started Pilates, omg. So much pain and ache. But it is so much better now. Even now, getting back to it after a seven month hiatus, my abs are way better than they were when I first started in May 2014.

I did my first Pilates class after those seven months yesterday.... surprisingly my triceps are what are giving me grief today? But I also did a yoga class yesterday as well - so it might be from the yoga. I was expecting my abs to hate me today :D

It was my first time! And first time ever for a group exercise class. I hurt everywhere but my calves and forearms. Putting on deodorant highlighted that even my armpits hurt! But it's all a good hurt. I feel like my legs from hiking are really strong, but everything north is weak as a kitten. And I have super tight/inflexible hips so I'm hoping all this stretching with Pilates helps too. The pain highlights how much I needed something like this!

LOL! Yes, that's totally how I felt after my first pilates classes. I hurt everywhere, but it was a good hurt. It was a hurt I'd earned and worked hard for! Pilates is seriously one of the best things I do for my body - I think we tend to neglect our cores and pilates is all about the core.

I forced myself to give every fitness class four tries before giving up and I'm really grateful I made that deal with myself. By the fourth class, I tended to feel less out of place and awkward :D

I'm like that after a TRX. I'm never more sore than after a TRX class which is surprising since I do a regular weight lifting class. TRX is waaaaayyyyy worse.

Eek! Maybe I ought to put that on my list...

I lost the most weight in my early twenties when I graduated from college and hadn't started working yet. I bicycled 15 miles every day - rain or shine and ate about 1,000 daily. I dropped to my lowest weight of 128 and was able to keep it off for nearly a decade. Unfortunately, that was not sustainable once I started working and the weight slowly crept back...

I did WW for a few months my thirties when I thought I was 'fat'. (I was 150 lbs.) LOL. Lost 10 pounds.

I was very successful for a while when I counted every single calorie that I put in my mouth - religiously, and walked 1 hour every day - religiously. I was eating hi-carb, low fat back then and it worked at the time.

Having a rough day eating today. Getting over a bad cold and just grazing all day on whatever is handy. Back on track tomorrow...

B: 1/2 Oikos triple zero

S: 1 oz. pork jerky and 2 parmesan crisps

L: 3 oz. leftover turkey chili from Panera and a few tortilla chips (Yes, I know.)

S: 1 oz. pork jerky and something else that's probably bad for me.

D: I will probably make some fish and have 1/2 PP shake to up my protein intake for the day.
