That's got to be rough living in an area where you fear backlash for sharing your political viewpoints. I have a number of friends who are "blue living in red zones" and it doesn't sound pleasant.

Norway is a pretty amazing country. :D

Hi All! It's still in the mid 70's here, but they are predicting some rain the next few days. Those of you that are in the polar vortex I cannot even fathom temps that cold.

QOTD: We would find a house on a beach somewhere in the world and I would also want to visit countries that I haven't visited before and maybe buy houses in places like Ireland, Germany, France?

B: coffee + HH crustless quiche

S1: Protein of some sort before Zumba class

L: LO sausage and peppers

S2: 1/2 protein shake

D: at my MILs so not sure

W/V: On track

E: taking a Zumba class at the Y today

I hope you're right about the rain! I never understood the rain dance concept until I lived here. My yard is even crispier than usual right now :)

Feeling wonky today. Had minor skin surgery this week and I think the antibiotics I'm on are messing with me.

QOTD: I'd live in midtown Manhattan and have a place in San Diego. Maybe out by Coronado.

B: 2 eggs which are flip flopping in my stomach.

The rest today is up in the air. I have deli turkey and leftover steak on hand but nothing seems appealing to me right now. I'll probably try a protein shake for lunch and see how that goes down.

Heading out for a birthday lunch today and then ripping down my Christmas decorations which have been up a week too long for my tastes. We're supposed to get rain tomorrow and Tuesday. Hallelujah!!

QOTD: I'd have a gorgeous farmhouse somewhere with seasons surrounded by rolling green pastures and trees with tons of animals that I would pay someone else to do all the grunt work for so I could just play with them.

B - yogurt, berries, grain free granola

L - salmon, veggies at Seasons52

D - rest of the salmon and veggies

S - ??

You'd like my house! I live in a 1901 house. It was a church rectory, but very much looks like a farm house on the inside.

Ooh, I would!! Southern California is chock full of newish houses with no character, craftsmanship, or architectural detail. Blech.

Oh. Oh... I change my answer... I want a farm too! With all kinds of animals (and horses!) And a 'hell, yes' to others doing the drudge stuff so I could just play! But they would have to love animals since I want a Shetland pony and a Clydesdale and couple of thoroughbreds. And a few plain old riding horses. Cows and sheep and goats and chickens and bunnies... and a dog and a couple of cats (they would travel with me to my other houses!)

I'd get some miniature horses (smaller than Shetlands), Nigerian dwarf goats, piglets, loads of dogs, alpacas (which someone once described to me as puppies in alpaca suits), fancy chickens, a cow or two, and probably anything else that needs a home. No one would be dinner, because I get too attached to animals I know!

Alpacas are characters - just stay away if they feel threatened as the spit is gross! I took pity on one of our babies at shearing and didnt place a sock over its nose - boy did I live to regret that one !!!

Picture it just on dark and the shearer is finishing off the last baby alpaca who isnt enjoying his first shear. I am being me and trying to pat and calm him down - when I am spat on - its charming as it runs down your face and its too dark to see - got cleaned up and he survived his first shear. The next time he had the old sock on his nose and all ended well - he he he farm life

On our previous farm we used to have 7 ponies, 30+ Sheep, 3 lowline Cattle, 5 Alpacas, 100+ Chooks, 60+ Ducks, Geese, 4 dogs and 2 farm cats. Loved every minute of it and miss them as we only have 7 Cows on our current farm until we can live there full time.
