Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Saturday 1/6/18
Hi all. Went to see a movie this morning so I'm getting to this post later than normal! I'm hoping that I'll be able to get some school time in today, but that will depend on how distracting the people in my household are. I also would like to at least do some preliminary meal planning stuff (picking a cookbook and putting sticky tabs on the appealing sounding recipes).
QOTD: I like that I can cross my legs AND my arms now. Comfortably! I can't sleep on my stomach anymore though, which is a bit annoying. I guess my stomach kept my spine in alignment and now that my stomach isn't there, my back gets very painful if I'm on my stomach for more than 30-45 minutes or so. If I actually fall asleep on my stomach there is hell to pay with my back when I wake up. Sad times! But.. I'm adapting.
1: protein shake
2: leftover beef and lamb meatballs baked with tahini sauce
3: eggroll in a bowl (basically just ground pork with seasonings, cabbage slaw, and mushrooms)
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: yoga later today

I wish I could cross my arms! Rotator cuff issues make it impossible to do comfortably. It used to be that they were too big, but now that they are smaller, I still can't.

Good afternoon, all! Hope those of you, like me, in the grip of this arctic cold are staying warm! It's warming up here in Missouri so looking forward to the next couple of weeks in the 20s and 30s! They started a weight loss challenge where I work, and the person who loses the greatest percentage of weight between now and April 15 wins about $500!! I know I won't win, but it's a great incentive for me to buckle down and try hard to make not only my 150lb goal, but to work on my ultimate goal (will share that when I meet the 150!) lol
QOTD: Crossing legs, definitely. A big one for me is being able to stand for more than 5 minutes without having to sit down. I was on my feet fixing dinner for friends the other night for nearly 2 hours, and didn't think "OMG I have to sit down!!!!" even once! Woohoo! Also, I can now sleep on my back, which I couldn't do for 30 years. It's a good thing because my hips hurt when I sleep on my side, so it gives me a break.
B: Dannon L&F 80 Greek yogurt w/Fiber One, coffee w/H&H and xylitol
L: Probably some sliced ham and cheese, zucchini slices
D: Hamburger patty w/cheddar and bacon, cauli rice risotto
Water and vites on track
E: Some walking, but not much for 2 weeks until I get my cortisone shots in my knees, they're hurting pretty bad :(
Oh yeah, I forgot the pain of standing!

Hey all! I ran out for a hike this morning so just making it here.
QOTD: I've not carried a lot of weight in my legs so crossing was not a problem, but standing for any period of time made my back hurt (all that weight hanging on my gut!). It's nice not to get tired and sweaty anymore just from standing in line at a store etc.
B - homemade yogurt (instant pot), berries, paleo grain free granola
L - Panera Bread 1/2 southwest chicken chili lime salad, piece of bread
D - smoked pulled pork
S - skinny cow ice cream sandwich, string cheese
Your QOTD answer made me remember doing dishes. Ugh, my panniculus would press into the counter and it always killed my back after....less than a load of dishes.

I'm posting pretty late today, but I wanted to keep up the accountability. I'm struggling with a touch of depression. Due to what? I have no idea. Depression is something that is very common in our family. Everything is going so well, (if you don't count the fact that my bedroom is still uninhabitable due to hurricane damage and my brother is MIA, homeless in Orlando and I still haven't found a job), but all of those things have been ongoing for months so probably did not trigger this current black cloud. I know how to get out though. Force myself to live life and do the things I need to do. Tough as hell, but it works every time. Funny, 'cause since yesterday was one of the best days of my life. LOL
QOTD: I have had to sleep on my back for many years, propped up on about 6 pillows. I practically had to sleep at between a 45 degree and 90 degree angle. But now, I can sleep on my side and I'm down to two pillows. Before, the weight of my legs actually caused extreme pain and loss of circulation on whichever side was underneath. No more. Yay!
M1: Coffee, half and half, 2 Klements beef sticks.
M2: 4 shrimp and a Broccoli/Cauliflower cheese casserole cake
M3: Chobani protein yogurt drink
M4: PP Caramel
M5: Beefy chili with a laughing cow cheese wedge melted on top. Grilled cheese sandwiches for the family.
S: Nothing
E: Nothing formal.
Water/Vits: Dismal, but I'm drinking now like a fish. Hope to get to 64 oz before the end of the evening. Yeah, I'll be up all night in the bathroom, but I won't get dehydrated!
Vits will get all but one dose of calcium and one multi in.

I'm sorry you are feeling down. Don't hesitate to talk to someone if you need to (I know you won't). But also, those are the best days to post here, even if you don't feel like it. I think we all have them!
