Morning! It's cold as hell out there this morning still. We ended up with both kids at sleepovers so I'll need to leave the house around 9:30 to go pick up one of them. Then, ideally, I'd like to make it to the gym today. My friend's 5-year old son will be staying with us tonight and tomorrow, as well.

We made it to Florida on-time and I am amazed about that as I thought it was a long-shot that we'd get here. It is only 40 degrees here now, but that is a lot better than the 8 degrees at home. It is predicted to get into the low 60s tonight then warm up daily over the next couple of weeks.

QOTD: What position (standing, sitting, lying down) are you able to maintain comfortably now that you couldn't prior to losing weight (or that you want to be able to once you lose enough)? I know a lot of people usually mention crossing their legs, which is true for me too. But for some reason I could not sleep comfortably on my back when I was heavy. I don't know if it was the pressure on my back, the sleep apnea, or just the weight on my stomach, but I could NOT sleep that way. When I was young and thin that was my favorite sleep position. Now I can sleep that way again, which is great because both my shoulders have rotator cuff issues and sleeping on my side or stomach makes them ache in the morning.

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: crack slaw

S: Halo top ice cream (was 2 for 1 at the store yesterday)

For some reason, I've always been able to cross my legs and to sit 'Criss cross applesauce' as my kids call it. But, I used to sleep flat on my stomach when I was younger. After my first pregnancy, I never got back to being able to do that. I'm back to it now and it's so great.

On my back used to be uncomfortable at first and then I'd get used to it. Like there was a period of settling where my body was in pain. That doesn't happen anymore either.

Holy crap! I can't believe you can eat 6oz of anything at only 3 weeks out from surgery, all I could manage at that time was a couple of tablespoons! I'm 14 months post surgery and can only eat 5.5-6oz now.

That does seem like a lot...

A few people have told me that my portions are kind of large but I'm a little over three weeks and I can eat 3.5 oz. of solids comfortably (which is what my plan says to eat anyway)

Are you able to eat the 6 whole ounces in less than 40 minutes or so? I'm just curious. My surgeon mention that my meals should never last more than 40 minutes or I might overeat.

I've been able to but of course I wait an hr for water, before and after. Even still it hasn't been a month and I've lost 38 lbs. Must be doing something right.

I'm at 11+ months and I top out - and I really mean absolutely can't do more - at 4.5oz. Normally I weigh 3oz of meat and 1oz of veggie and if I'm not precise it will be too much. I would be concerned that you are damaging your stomach and not able to feel it!

I agree with Cathy! That seems like a very large volume of food for someone whose stomach is still healing!
