How long until BM post-op?
I was planning on contacting them on Monday when they open if the issue persisted, but apparently I made the post about 10 hours too early! ;)

I had my first about 4-5 days after surgery.
At first, my BM's were very sporadic and I was constipated most of the time. I tried the miralax and now I do a half to a full dose most mornings in my coffee. It dissolves completely and I don't even know it is in there.
I buy it on Amazon and have it on auto-delivery so I never run out. Yay Amazon!

Amazon Prime is AWESOME! You can get it for $49 bucks a year if you have a college student in the family, they just need a .edu email address! :-)
I had to take MOM for the 1st month, at least once a week. As everyone else said, Miralax has been a lifesaver, take cap full every morning in my tea- completely dissolves, no taste. I added fruits& veggies in the past month - not everyone does this-& that had helped immensely as well. Btw, you're doing amazingly well on protein& liquids! Good luck!

Thanks! Yeah, I'm not supposed to take any kind of fiber supplement the first two weeks, but I do imagine being able to eventually add in veggies would help! Maybe. :D

My intestines love their schedule - I had my first BM two days later, and it was mostly chalky. I hate my digestive system with the dumb stabby Celiac, but at least she never stops moving on time, heh.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

LOL, at least she's reliable! :D

I and one month out and STILL am not having BMs without the use of laxatives, stool softeners, glycerine suppositories and everything short of dynamite! I didn't have my first BM until about 8 days after surgery and when I told the doctor's office that, I got "pounced" on and told that that was too long to go without having one. I then went home and used the "arsenal" and still took me 2 days to manage that. Now, if I don't use something, I can't go, with the exception of the day I didn't have breakfast before I left home and had 2 breakfast sausage links at my brother's house. THAT caused a ruckus with my system and caused one voluntarily. I was surprised! But, no I'm sill using everything and not having regular/consistent BMs.
