Oh - I also highly recommend that you not eat anything out of the house without first trying it in the safety of your own home. Just in case.

And, when eating out, it's doubly important to remember to EAT SLOWLY. The environment can be conducive to eating too fast with waitstaff pressuring you to eat faster and conversation/activity distracting you from being slow.

If you can tolerate eggs at home you can do so out, but obviously the "extra" stuff they lard things up with (bread, grits, pancakes) aren't for us. Sometimes well-meaning waitstaff will offer things that we don't want/need in an effort to help you "get your money's worth" but if you just insist they'll back off. Some of them will look at you like you're crazy -- which should cause no concern on your part! :)
