Going out for the first time! Help!

How does your sleeve tolerate eggs? If you don't have trouble with them (some folks do), that can be a good choice. Be careful, some restaurants (I'm looking at you, IHOP) put pancake batter in the scrambled eggs.
Breakfast meats are also good, if you're cleared for regular foods and your sleeve is healed enough. Nibble on a piece of breakfast sausage or a piece of bacon.

Eggs can definitely be a good option. Due to the issue Julie mentioned, I tend to stick to things that look recognizable as eggs - so maybe a poached egg?
What place are you going to? They might have non-breakfast foods that are more suitable.

At one month, there was nothing on a regular breakfast menu that I was cleared for. Maybe just have a nice cup of coffee while your husband eats.

Woah - you weren't able to eat eggs at one month post-op?! It's amazing how different plans can be.
I was got soft solids at one month post-op. Happy day.

My spouse had VSG on Friday, and on Tuesday they had everyone eating eggs, refried beans, tofu, cottage cheese, and berries... tried brussels sprouts last night and we had fried tofu tonight. Our plan basically is no stringy meats (beef, pork, lamb, etc.), no raw veggies, and no potatoes/corn for the first two months.
As tolerated, of course. Obviously some people would not be able to tolerate this.

I'm really surprised that your spouse had VSG since you always seem so dissatisfied with yours. And brussels in week 1? I don't think I had room in my stomach for non-protein for a few months if I was going to make my protein goals. That seems pretty astonishing to me. It always amazes me how different plans can be.
