Is ANYONE else having an issue with digesting beef????

Hi! I was sleeved 11/17/17 and since being back on "regular foods" I've found that I'm having an issue with ingesting/digesting beef. Whether it be ground or in steak form it literally makes me sick to my stomach. I'm aware that with "normal stomachs" beef is one of those things that takes some time to break down but with this new tummy? It's impossible. It was told to me by my surgeon is something doesn't cooperate with my stomach to wait and revisit it but I'm currently 3-0. I'm starting to feel that maybe my relationship with beef is over. Am I the only one?

My dietician told me that pork and beef should wait until much later out. Maybe 6 months because it is harder to digest.

Some plans don't allow for cow for some number of months post-op. I didn't have that restriction and started eating it as soon as I could do pureed foods in week 3. I've never had a problem with it, but do make sure to chew well.

I'd recommend waiting a month and trying cow again. Don't write it off yet.

Give it some more time and don't be discouraged! Your sleeve can handle things much better once you reach the six month point or so.

Example: I tried eggs several times early on, but they made me queasy. I waited until about nine months out, tried again, no problem!

I wasn't allowed beef for 8 weeks. You are still really early out. You'll get there. Give it a few weeks, and try again.

Skip ground meats for a few months. You'd think they would go down easy, but they don't. They grind them because they are the cheapest, toughest cuts. When you do try again, go for the most tender pieces, like beef tenderloin.

Thanks! I didn't have that restriction but that definitely makes since. I haven't had it many times only about 3. I will steer clear till much later on. That you all for your advice.

My plan restricts beef, pork, lamb, etc. (all non-poultry animal proteins****il after the 2 month appointment.

I waited until about 3.5 months in before I tried (non-hamburger) beef. My sleeve *****ed at me (GRUMBLEGRUMBLEGRUMBLE) for like 5 hours afterwards.

I gave it a month off and then tried again, no issues then.
