Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Friday 12/29/17
Morning VSGers! Another cold one over here. Today we're taking the kids to a hotel with a waterpark (since we opted to cancel for Tuesday). I am going to work for half a day and then I'll come home and pick them up. We'll do some shopping tomorrow after check out time at the hotel. The kids both have gift cards to spend, so they should be in agreement.
QOTD: What bad habit do you wish you could break? I'd probably say my gum addiction or my daily Diet Coke. I've considered getting rid of both, but I'm not sure if I care enough just yet.

It is super cold here (colder than usual on Cape Cod): It is 7 degrees (Fahrenheit) right now and windy!
QOTD: I guess the habit I would most like to break is the need to have a snack at around 8 every night. Even if I'm not really hungry, I always get head hunger at that time. I plan a snack for it because I know myself, but I really wish I could just eat when I'm truly hungry.
1 year, 9 months post-op
B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: sliced turkey and cheese
D: Crack slaw
S: Almonds

I also have a snack at that time and I look forward to it. I also wish I didn't, but right now I plan in those calories and it's working for maintenance (and honestly I suck at filling those in during other times of the day).

I guess you are right - as long as we plan for it, that's the important thing.

Today is a shopping day. My husband hates those. I love them. He's hoping this is the last shopping trip for 2017. Heh!
QOTD: Bad habit? I would also have to say the 'bedtime' snack. It doesn't put me over, but it is also calories I don't need. As you mentioned Liz, it is head hunger. I'll be working on that head hunger issue this year.
M1: Coffee, Vanilla PP shake, miralax and sirloin
M2: Smoked Turkey, pickles and olives
M3: Beef Ribs
M4: PP shake
M5: Shepherds pie with cauliflower and broccoli mashed fauxtatoes (Didn't make this last night)
S: We'll see how the day goes
E: Nothing formal.
Water/Vits: Liquid is better, still need to work on it some more. Vits are good.

Good Morning! It's going to be another unseasonably warm day in Phoenix with the high forecasted to be 76. I honestly would like a little winter weather here, but don't want 7 degrees F.
QOTD: Drinking was the habit I wished to break and I have done that thanks to my sleeve.
B: Protein bar
S1: 1/2 protein shake
L: LO turkey meatballs w/marinara and zuch noodles
S2: 1/2 protein shake
D: LO burrito bowls
Focusing on protein today. Since I've added in veggies I'm having trouble getting to the 60 grams.
E: walking or hiking with DH

Breakfast - 2 eggs with hot sauce
QOTD - what bad habit do you wish you could break? To stop (intentionally) drinking water before and during my meals to help fit in more food.
QOTD: Popcorn! It is my favorite snack food, and for many years it has been my bed time snack. I have worked at bringing down the amount, and of course I do not have butter or salt. But I do think it is stalling my weight loss, so I need to find something else to fill that snack that satisfies my head hunger.
It is a whopping 24 degrees in sunny Raleigh, North Carolina right now.
6 months post op
M1 - coffee
M2 - protein shake
M3 - chicken soup
M4 - TBD - we usually go out for Mediterranean food on Friday nights, but it is so cold that we may stay in and have sandwiches, leftovers or eggs.
E - no way. I will do some stairs at work, but I am a wimp with cold weather.
