Morning VSGers! Can you believe we're about to exit December and 2017? It seems pretty surreal. I'm back to work today and that means the gym is open again! I've missed running, but somehow it's also always hard to get back into the groove. It is -23 degrees this morning. Maybe someday I'll move away from this place and my morning menu thread won't always talk about how cold it is!

QOTD: What goal have you considered for yourself for 2018? I don't like the idea of making resolutions because they tend to just dissolve into the ether right? There's a meme out there that says something like "Someone should start a business that is a gym for the first 2 weeks of a year and then becomes a bar for the rest of it and call it resolutions". Anyway, I have a goal to maintain my current weight loss and to run a longer race (maybe an 8k or 10k).

Good morning. It is COLD here! 10 degrees with a low of 3 today and the temperatures are not going to exceed 30 between now and when we leave for Florida in 8 days. BRRR...

QOTD: My personal goals are weight maintenance and establishing a regular exercise/walking routine. I also want to find some way to interact with DH to help him retain cognitive skills as long as possible.

Good morning, all! Got up early this morning so have time to post...YAY! I hear you about the cold, Liz! Out low last night was 8 with a wind chill of -2! Without the built-in 5 winter coats I used to carry around all the time, I'm freezing my tuckus off!! lol

QOTD: My main goal for 2018 is to meet and maintain my ultimate weight loss goal. It's not too far away, so I know it's doable. I'd love to get my panni removed, but don't know if that's going to happen...at least this year anyway.

I will not whine about how it is in the 50's here and damp and chilly. We Floridians are spoiled.

QOTD: My goals for 2018 are to find a position that will utilize my skills and to continue on this weight loss journey.

M1: Coffee, Vanilla PP shake, miralax and Rib eye

Water/Vits: Liquid is better, still need to work on it some more. Vits are good.

I should keep to myself that we are headed for 77 degrees today then? I'm off to hike this morning and getting myself back on the wagon after Christmas and my birthday...

QOTD: I have probably way to many goals for 2018, but since I'm motivated I'm going with it. My primary ones are maintaining my weight, starting strength training with a trainer, decluttering/organizing my house, and increasing my hiking distances to 10-12 miles from 6-7.

Good morning! I hear you Erin, I start my reply to the menu thread about the weather a lot too. But it does seem to be a big topic of conversation when you live in areas of extreme weather. I hope to get out of where I live someday too. Hopefully Arizona or California:-)

QOTD-My goals for the coming year are to get off the last suborn 30 pounds, keep increasing the time I run(right now I am at 30 seconds of jogging for every five minutes of walking), hike more and learn to tent camp.

First day back in the office and ugh. At least it's quiet as most people are still out.

QOTD: I want to take this year to focus on my weight loss and health. I have some goals related to that and to my life in general. I want to make sure I can start and maintain an exercise regime, start therapy (which I keep putting off because I hate it), find a new job that makes me happy (I'm in progress on this one now), finish a Facilities Management certification I started, pay off our credit card debt, purchase a house, and work on living below our means and saving some $$. Yes, I have big plans this year.

S: Probably won't have this one since I ate breakfast late

L: Green goddess salad from Panera

S2: possibly some more of my salad since I didn't pack anything
