New to the group
I had my sleeve done last Wednesday 12/20/2017 and came back to work today. I had a band and had that removed and had the sleeve done.
Many of us experience hunger like feelings. I?ve learned that our nerves are severed so the hunger we experience is usually from acid. Acid can mimick hunger pangs. Some need to have their acid reducers or proton pump inhibitors adjusted. Dehydration can also mimick hunger from what I?m reading. I wasn?t so quick to have my doc up my PPI dose when I began to have these symptoms. I found I wasn?t drinking enough. I need a good 80+ oz to not feel dehydrated, and my lack of protein was because I couldn?t find a protein drink I could tolerate. Make sure these two things are adequate. If they are, you may need more acid reducer until your stomach adjusts.
Awesome advise... thank you so much. I doing good on the protein shakes (premier) but I need to up my water
Welcome! Good luck! Didn't experience that, so won't try to answer.

acid causes hunger. Are you taking a PPI like Nexium? Also dehydration mimics hunger. Are you get 64+ ounces of liquid a day?
I was given Nexium and wondered why? I do take protonix for my GERD should I take the Nexxum
