NSVs This Week
My stats are below and you can see that the 2nd month (which ended today) I lost 6.6. Average weight loss, but not stellar compared to some. So, in order to really appreciate how much this surgery has already changed my life, below are some NSVs that happened just this week.
- I've lost 23.6% of my excess weight
- I was able to wear high heels to a job interview and for several hours after and my feet did not hurt!
- My A1C is down to 4.9 from over 5 with meds and over 7 without meds
- My blood sugar is down to 86
- I was able to go shopping for xmas for 3 hours straight without sitting down and my feet DID NOT HURT nor swell up.
- I am down from a size 20/22 and 2X to a 16 and a XXL (in regular women's)
- I spent our Xmas eve celebration with our family and did not drink
So, while my loss is a bit slower than some, what I am gaining is HUGE. I feel so hopeful and much more free than I have felt in about 10 years. I had some issues with mood and depression early on, but now I feel very good. I have many goals this year that I hope to accomplish and I want to you thank you all for sharing your stories and providing support.

All splendid NSVs. How nice to celebrate without aches and pains. Don't compare the loss to others. I give myself the same advice. I found it very frustrating along the way when I would do that. Merry Christmas!
congratulations
