Good morning all! I am in my PJs by the fire getting ready to start making a side dish for our Christmas Eve dinner at SIL's tonight. DS is making a sous vide tenderloin tonight. This afternoon we are going with DS to his birthmothers home. She has invited us every year since we fully opened his adoption 13 years ago, but this is the first year we are available. We were always visiting with MIL previously (she passed away this May).

QOTD: For those of you celebrating Christmas, do you feel fully in the spirit? I guess I feel partially in the spirit. It is still hard to have our old traditions changing especially when they are different each year lately. I guess I'll have to look back in retrospect to see how the holiday felt altogether?

1 year, 9 months post-op:

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese, and Canadian bacon

L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: Tenderloin, squash, small amount of stuffed potatoe

S: Likely bites/nibbles when we visit relatives today

Morning. It appears that kiddo feels better this morning and so far everyone else is healthy. knocking on wood. We got several inches of snow yesterday and some ice, and now we're under a Winter Storm Warning to get another 5-8" tomorrow, most that during the morning commute time when we'll be headed to my Father's.

QOTD: I've really struggled to get into the spirit this year. I finally, finally, was starting to feel Christmasy on Friday when I was done with work and had just the holiday to look forward to and then a child go sick and there's the stress of all that. So, no - not really feeling it.

11 months post-op/Maintenance/130.2lbs

M1: Coffee, PP, Miralax, HC

M2: Egg, Sausage, Cheese

M3-M5: TBD, probably a lot of snacking but I'll try to pick just the protein options.

E: NOPE!

Happy Christmas EVE! Our Christmas Eve tradition is to have the grandkids and rest of family over and we do a Birthday Party for Jesus. So today is making nibbles and a BDay cake and prepping for tomorrow's cooking and cleaning the house. Busy day ahead.

QOTD: I am 110% in the spirit. And it is first time in over 12 years. We've decorated inside, outside and bought a ton of gifts. Normally I dread this time of year, but this year I am stoked!

M1: Coffee, Vanilla PP shake and Miralax

M2: Rib Eye

M3: LO Red Chicken curry

M4: PP Shake

M5: Nibbles - meat and cheese tray, a smidge of wrapped smoky, a smidge of spinach cheese tree, a couple triscuits with my husbands famous dips, a few raw vegs and a raspberry.

S: See M5 LOL.

E: Nothing formal.

Water and vits on track.

Merry Xmas Eve my OBH friends!

QOTD: I feel very in the Christmas spirit this year and very present for everything that we are doing. It could be that I am not drinking this year. Yes, I am not drinking. YAY, I get to participate today!

Just got back from a Vegas trip with friends, and while I had no problem with the meals, WOW has food gotten STUPID BIG there. Literally every meal had friends (and waiters) asking if there is something "wrong" with my meal. No, nothing wrong with it, it's just 6 meals' worth of food! Holy cow my friends eat too much...

Hotel room was free, I brought no money to gamble (eh, gamble?) with but was given $40, which I turned into $100 and then to $0. So cheap fun weekend.

B: 4 oz. cottage cheese

L: ???

S: protein shake or almonds

D: probably Mexican

E: 13 km walk/17,000 steps this morning

Good morning and happy Christmas eve day! I'm so glad you are available to attend the dinner at your son's birthmother's house this year, have a great time Liz!!

Another cold day, but that's okay, it's sunny. Finishing the last touches on dinner tonight. My uncle is going to come over early and hang out while we finish everything. Fondue is a lot of work, but it makes the evening nice and long. Your forced to eat slow since you have to wait for your bite to cook and there is time for a lot of conversation.

QOTD-I tried really hard to be in the Christmas spirit this year, mostly for my mom. I don't feel it today, but I will get my head in the game and make it happen:-)

B-greek yogurt with pumpkin puree, SF syrup and pumpkin seeds

L-PP Shake

S-Chai tea with cream & stevia

D-steak, mushrooms, shrimp, cauliflower from the fondue

E-Not today, too cold for my dog her feet go numb

Have a great day!
