Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Friday 12/22/17
Today is really Friday! I had labeled yesterday Friday and had to go in and edit it. Today I have my department lunch and then I'll get to head home early. We are supposed to get 6-12" of snow between this morning and tomorrow morning so the roads will be a mess I'm sure. We are supposed to have dinner at Jon's Step Father's if the weather isn't too terrible. Then I need to come home and wrap like a crazy person.
...and they just canceled school for the kids before it even started snowing. Poor husband!
QOTD: Are you a people watcher? Do you find yourself comparing you to other people as you lose? I'm guilty of this. People that I used to think were "ideally skinny" now just look average/normal to me.
11 months post-op/Maintenance/130.4lbs
M1: Coffee, PP, Miralax, HC
M2: Fage 2% w/ SF Pudding Mix
M3: Holiday Lunch (they are serving Beef Sirloin and there are always veggies)
M4: TBD, supposed to be going to Jon's step dads but his wife is amazing at catering to a delicious protein option for me.
M5: Yogurt w/ PB
E: I was supposed to run today, but not sure if I want to or not. I'd have to go first thing in the morning I guess.

Happy Friday everyone! Today we finish shopping (I was too tired yesterday) and then it is back home to get ready for granddaughters bday. She is eleven and is turning into quite the young woman.
QOTD: I find myself saying a little prayer when I see a severely overweight person who is eating poorly. I wish for them to find a path to a healthier lifestyle. I also notice extremely big people more than I used to and feel relieved and grateful that I am becoming less and less like them.
M1: One egg, Turkey Spam, coffee and 1/3 PP shake and Miralax
M2: Something protein forward while we are out
M3: Fage, protein powder and SF jello
M4: PP Shake
M5: Not sure, possibly shrimp and brussel sprouts or green beans
S: Something with protein and no/low carbs depending on what gets eaten above.
E: Putting the chair up and down out of the car.
Water and vits on track.

Yay for really Friday. I've got my last massage of the year today and I'm looking forward to that even though it'll just be upper body due to still healing from my leg lift. Then I've got pre-vacation stuff to do. Laundry, packing, etc.
Yesterday turned out pretty okay. I ended up spending less than an hour on the phone and got my medication prior authorization sorted out. And I have a plan for going forward. This is all good stuff.
QOTD: I do watch people! But I don't compare myself to them physically. I'm pretty oblivious to a lot of things. I just like to see the weird things people do. I'm totally a shoe-checker as well and I definitely judge people based on their shoes. :D Clearly someone wearing Brooks or Saucony is better than someone wearing Nike ;)
1: protein shake
2: leftover enchiladas?
3: eggs and bacon! (I didn't know if I'd be cooking dinner tonight because I want to deplete the fridge of food before we leave, but I've apparently done a good job of not overcooking this week, so I will be making my backup meal for tonight after all!)
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: nope

Happy Friday! DH and I are in Boston for his clinical trial appointment. Company for Christmas starts arriving today!
QOTD: Yes I compare myself to other people weight-wise. It is strange how our perceptions of others change when our own body changes.

Im going to be completely real and honest i definitely compare myself to other people i recently even posted a couple days ago that i wasn't loosing as fast as other people but through that post i realized since getting this surgery i have been comparing my weight loss to others instead of focusing on myself and that was stealing my joy. Well not anymore i been focusing me and not comparing myself to anyone and i can honestly say it feels good!
M1 premier protein
S1 string cheese
M2 turkey meatballs
S2 1/2 premier protein
M3 salmon

It is easy to do, to wonder why you're not losing at the same right. I find myself being jealous of those who got surgery close to me and are already at goal! Then I have to tell myself "Oh yeah, you were A LOT bigger at the start, you dumb bunny."
Good morning! I just spent a rousing hour playing "don't fall off the bed" with my 11 month old nephew. He's about to start walking; I'm pretty excited! DW and I are both on Winter Brea****il school resumes on the 4th, so that's nice!
QOTD: I love watching people and I always have. I try not to compare myself to others....but to be honest, I do notice when people are larger than me and I think about that. I think about all the daily struggles they must go through. I also like figuring things out about people from the way that they act.
B: 1 medium egg with 1/2 tablespoon reduced fat parmesan
L: 1/4 cup refried black beans with 1 tablespoon melted mozzarella
D: 1 medium egg
Snacks: premier protein shake CHOCOLATE
Working on fluids!
Good morning and happy Friday! It's snowing here too and it's not supposed to stop anytime soon. We already have a couple feet of snow, geez! Got my satellite cleared late afternoon, but no guarantees that it won't happen again of course. I'm going to buy an extendable pole today so I don't have to pay for them to come out again.
QOTD-Yes, I am very much a people watcher!! I watch what they wear, how they have their hair styled and their shoes as well! Not in a judgmental way, but more out of curiosity. I also watch how people communicate with each other. Depending on the day it can make me feel alive and part of this big beautiful world or it can make me feel incredibly alone:-)
B-Greek yogurt w/SF vanilla syrup and pumpkin seed/flax/chia mixture
L-Tuna salad
S-Chai tea w/cream & stevia, 1/2 apple
