I got my sugery date...January 16th!

I am so excited!!! Got my surgery date today and it is January 16th!! Less than a month go! Now I just have to do one more class, more labs and have my H&P appointment with the surgeon.

Trying to think of questions I should ask at that last appointment..any suggestions?

Some things that I asked when I was still deciding which surgeon:

1. How much experience do you have with this procedure?
2. What are your stats for 30 day postop complications?
3. Can you detail the procedure you use?
4. If you cannot perform it laproscopically, will you open me up?
5. What is my pre-op diet?

Some things I asked after I picked my surgeon:

1. What resources do you offer post-op? Is there a 24 hour line? Support group? How often will you see me post-op?
2. What is my post-op recovery plan as far as fluids, protein, and diet progression?

I'm excited for you! Take chapstick, biotene spray, and sweats. I felt so much better after my 5th 10 minute walk the day of surgery. It hurts, but WALK. The lady next door to me was moaning in pain the day I got discharged because she refused to walk.
