Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Thursday 12/21/17
Thankfully, after only 40-ish minutes on the phone, I got some answers and a game plan. AND also learned that my prior authorization was denied due to lack of diagnostic code, so got that resolved, and now it has been approved. So at least I'm good medication-wise for another month to work on finding the best solution here!

Congrats on running a mile straight.
Running and working out in general can be a case of mind over matter. I think you are at a point now where you have the confidence to do it and know you can do it. Now gradually increase.
I am 49, the best advise I have received to date was to realize that my training was not a race, to run at a pace that was comfortable for me and to gradually add distance. Longer runs on the weekends, I also have to adjust my menu slightly to add some complex carbs when running distances.
Good job and keep pushing yourself. you can run the distance without stopping, now you know you can.

Morning! So glad I'm done with work for the next few days and my hubs comes home from ATL tonight and doesn't have to go back for 3 WEEKS! I have a crazy busy day today, but just keep telling myself if I can get through today it will be smooth sailing! I have shopping and wrapping to do and we are having the whole family over to celebrate xmas eve on Saturday (weird day but my SIL has to go out of town to visit her DH).
QOTD: I have so many things on my bucket list. I want to be able to travel internationally and I'm hoping that when I get to a normal weight my horrible flight anxiety will reduce to a level that will make that possible. I really want to visit all the WWII sites and experience that history first hand.

Bread will not help you reach your goal and takes up valuable space in your small stomach. If you're stalling, it would be wise to cut the unnecessary carbs.

I don't subscribe to the bread is bad mantra but can appreciate why some people do. You have to do what works for you and your body! Also, don't forget that my tiny tum 90% of the time doesn't eat the carbs I account for. I eat a protein forward diet and am often too full to consume them. Lol
My daily carbs are still low enough (Under 40g/day works for me) to keep my body in ketosis which is what I am aiming for. I track religiously and test with ketostix regularly.
I've been gaining and losing the same 2lbs over and over for 2 weeks now and I suspect that's because I've been on my period that long too. (Sorry for the TMI) The weight will come off.

I try to avoid thinking of any food as "bad." (As evidenced by eating a delicious donut this morning.)
Good that you know why you're stalling!

Yum! That's my type of breakfast!
I'm going to treat myself to a small piece of cake at Christmas. The last time I did that though, at a friends wedding, it didn't end well
I get the foamies from A LOT of stuff, and it's like a 50/50 chance, one day shrimp are fine, the next it's foamy city. It's quite frustrating.
I'm glad I know why I'm stalling too but if it could stop soon that would be great! The back aches are unreal

That's very strange about the foamies - I can't say this is something I've experienced at all. Have you talked with your surgeon about it? Could it be from eating to fast or something?
