To Exercise or Not to Exercise??
Apparently someone above makes the claim that "once you stop, the weight will come piling back on."
I have not found this to be true at all. I exercised a lot before starting the reconstructive surgery process in June. Running 3 days a week, yoga every day, pilates twice a week, tai chi once a wee****asional weight lifting when time permitted, etc. I haven't been able to exercise for 6 months now due to surgeries and my weight has definitely not "piled back on."
So please don't fear this scare tactic!

That was not the case for me, either. I exercised like a maniac for the first 3 years then stopped for 5. I did not have any regain. I started walking after my SO had his stroke and I knew I needed exercise to be healthier. But I still do not do anything "strenuous", just walking, but that is enough to keep my heart healthy.

In summary, exercise is pretty unhelpful for weight loss. While exercise is hugely important for overall health, how much and what you eat has a much bigger impact on your waistline.
Great article. Thanks for posting the link.
