Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Wednesday 12/20/17
Morning! Five days until Christmas. The girls had a snow day yesterday. The weather turned out to be rainy and warm once the initial layer of ice melted. Today's the last day for 2-day Prime shipping for Christmas so I'll need to make 100% sure that I'm done! I hope not to have to step foot in Walmart or any other larger local store, except the grocery store for snack food for Christmas Eve.
QOTD: What's one fashion trend that you wish would come back? I'm a child of the 90's so I'm super pumped that thermals and flannel have made a reappearance. I bought some basic thermals from Old Navy and they are so comfy and warm, and this time wearing them I look a lot less bumpy!

Good morning! It is hard to believe Christmas is so close. We have to figure out how to get DD with broken leg here (she can't drive and is 1.5 hours away). We did make arrangements for NYC DD with no car.
QOTD: I can't come up with anything other than trends I hope DON'T return. Like several styles from the early 70s: culottes, tunics, smock tops and dresses. Most of you are too young to remember them...
1 year, 9 months post-op:

Good morning all! Going to finish shopping for Christmas Eve and Day today. Don't want to have to step foot in the stores again till after Christmas.
QOTD: I'm not sure that this is what you meant, but I'd like to see respect, courtesy and good manners come back and be taught to our children. Especially towards teachers and authority figures. Common courtesy and respect have gone by the wayside. (Not saying that everyone has lost it or doesn't practice it, but an unfortunate portion of our general population has.)
M1: ½ PP shake
M2: Chicken stick and ½ PP shake
M3: Crab salad
M4: Faye, protein powder and almond butter
M5: Snow crab stuffed mushroom soup made from leftovers (paired with grilled cheese for the family) (didn't make this again last night - going to try for this again)
S: Something with protein and no/low carbs depending on what gets eaten above.
E: Nothing planned today.
Water and vits on track.

All the things I want to eat have been fiendishly taken to work for lunches by the guys. Sigh. I should stake things out in the fridge. Label them as "Gwen's" or something.
Today is my big day - I have my appointment with hopefully my new psychiatrist this afternoon. Until then, since I'm prepared for it, I'm going to read and relax. I've got a few errands to run after the appointment. I'm hopeful it'll be a lovely day!
QOTD: Women's suit fashions from the early 60s. Jackie O when she was First Lady, for example. I don't know why, but I find that to be a very lovely style.

3: leftover hamburger (I made them in the sous vide, yum!)

Bah. "chocolate cake" ended up being two small bites. I seriously wanted to eat the entire piece I've got.

Psst - since you had the VSG, you don't have a pouch. You have a sleeve. RNYers have pouches. :)
For me, the cake wasn't even a physical restriction issue. Just a brain issue. My brain said, "Nah. Two bites are enough and you don't really want to eat the rest."
