Not loosing
Hey everyone i had surgery on 11/27 and i have only lost 11 pounds I'm just freaking out it seems like others are loosing way more weight than me.im strict on my diet and have been trying to walk daily till I'm able to exercise more. Advice please am i doing something wrong??
what does a typical days menu look like for you?
My body is weird. I'll stay the same weight for a week and literally weigh myself the next day and be 3lbs less. If I eat something salty I could gain a couple of pounds over night. I also hold onto fluid big time if I don't drink. Work on your fluids because that will keep your body from retaining. If you think about it 11 lbs is a good amount and a healthy weightloss for that short period of time.
I second Gwen's suggestion to cut the carbs.
I'm in month 3 now and I'm realizing that I lose less during first half of my menstrual cycle then drop like crazy during the second half. I am trying to increase my water so my body doesn't hold on to it. Overall though, it evens out at the end of the month.
It sounds like you're doing well!

This is totally my observation from hanging around here for a few years (and not based on any medical research statistics), but the average weight loss for the first month seems to be in the 15-25 lb range. There are people who lose more or less than that, but they're outliers. So you are right on track. I "only" lost 16 lbs the first month, and I started out at almost 400 lbs. As others have said, stick to your plan and don't compare yourself to other people.
