Do not compare yourself to others. We all had different weight loss stories on our journey. You just had surgery and your new stomach and body is adjusting to the surgery. Eleven pounds is pretty good, I would say. Are you losing inches? Hang-in-there, you'll definitely start shifting and losing more weight. Don't freak out, be excited because you have a new tool that will help you lose your weight. I would tell you how much I lost the first month, but I stayed off the scale the first 6 weeks.
I forget the exact quotation but, in my brain, it's "comparison is the thief of joy (or hope, probably both)."
Don't worry about what other people are losing - keep on sticking to your plan and the weight will come off.
That said, what does your diet entail? Give us a sample of what you're eating each day and we'll troubleshoot if it's really out of whack :)

Nevermind the menu request - I see you've posted in the daily meal threads!
So the only change I would suggest making is getting rid of some of the extra carbs - like cauliflower mash. If the hash you're eating has potatoes in it, skip the potatoes and stick to the meat. Otherwise, what you've posted looks good to me.
Are you getting at least 64 ounces of liquid a day?

Don't despair. There are many factors. I came out of surgery almost 10 pounds heavier than I was when I went in. And in the last three weeks, I've only lost about 4 pounds. Keep an eye on the trend rather than the daily or weekly number. As long as you are trending down, I wouldn't fret too much. As Gwen suggested, cut some more of the carbs, make sure you are getting your protein and above all, make sure you meet the liquid requirements. Your body needs the fluids to lose weight.
Hang in there!
Many times a person will lose pounds on the liquid diet the week before and thats what people will state. I lost 20lbs from the date I CHANGED MY DIET to liquid from 314 to 294 but my surgery was on the 14th and I was already at 306 so I've only lost 12 from the date of surgery. Like everyone else everybody is different!
