I made it for our Cookbook Club dinner in October and it was delicious. Super rich. I was surprised that Lance requested it for his party since that means it has replaced his previous favorite chocolate cake!

Good morning! Raining and 36 here today, all of our snow melted overnight. The forecast is a high of 5 degrees on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, no snow. I don't even want to know what the forecast for our low is:-)
QOTD-My family can sing, me, not so much. My uncle has been in Chorale and barbershop his entire adult life and my mother was in a community choir up until a few years ago. As a child I remember my grandfather sang and played the banjo in a band for years, he also was an amazing organist.

I have been grazing on Christmas cookies and Lindt truffle balls for the last few days, I am up 4 pounds this morning. I have been exercising really hard this past week and thought I could get away with it, but I can't and I knew that but I lied to myself. It's an old way of thinking that I let creep back in. I made a pledge to myself this morning and now to my menu friends that I will stop this old habit now. I will be 100% compliant this week, no more grazing.

I had to accept that exercise would never offset my eating years ago (much as I wi**** did). Whenever people say they can eat whatever they want as long as they keep up their exercise routine, I assume they either have a much faster metabolism than I do OR they really don't eat much anyway (like my DH and SIL whose view of eating a lot is nothing like mine).

Hey, everyone! Home from work today with a stomach bug...yuck! Hope I feel better tomorrow, as it's our office Christmas Potluck. I'm taking Fauxtato Salad (my standard potato salad made with cauliflower instead of potatoes). The first Keto dish I am bringing to work. Will be interesting to see how it's received...people really like their potatoes! (At least 4 potato dishes being brought at last count lol).
QOTD: Yes, I sing. I am blessed to come from a family with musical ability and great singing voices, but no formal training. I actually have recorded cover songs and posted a few of them on SoundCloud under the name of my alter-ego. When I DJ'd online, I sang along and got so many requests that I actually did a couple of shows streaming live singing with backing tracks. No time for it anymore, but I do miss it.
