Erin, I bet that was very scary!

Exams are over and I am so happy I could focus on healthy eating again because I have done a lot of stress eating the past few weeks :(

QOTD - Really hard to choose just one, but I do like a lot of Jennifer Aniston movies. The Switch was a funny one!

B: 2 boiled eggs with salt and pepper

L: JimmyBar birthday cake protein bar (my new fave protein bar!)

S: string cheese stick

D: not sure but i really want some sauteed shrimp with sauteed peppers kinda like a stir fry

Drinks: loads of peppermint green tea and honey lemon tea because it is super cold with Splenda!

Hey all! I slept pretty well last night and walked the dog a (slow) mile this morning. I'm procrastinating on giving myself my daily anti-clotting shot. I hate needles!

QOTD: My favoriite movie changes a lot. I have a hard time shutting off my brain at night so I usually fall asleep to one of my current faves, often not staying awake much past the opening credits. Right now it's While You Were Sleeping and Return to Me. I might switch to A Christmas Story tonight.

I'm on liquids through the weekend so water, protein shakes, broth, coffee and sugar free popsicles are on my unappealing menu.

For some reason, I totally missed which surgery you had?

I had to have my hiatal hernia fixed again. Hopefully it holds this time. But the drinking/eating parts are like deja vu! It feels a lot like having another VSG.

A good way to bust out those "10lbs below goal" I guess? LOL.

You aren't kidding! I think I'll see the 150s this week and I'm not certain it's a good look for me. I've never once in my life worried about losing too much weight. I guess there's a first time for everything...

Same here! You're quite tall, right? My husband told me if I hit the 120's he'd strap me to a chair and feed me cheeseburgers. So I had a goal to stay out of the 120's and so far have managed that. But, I also never thought I'd like the look of being this thin and I do, and I also figure that at 2+ years out I'll be pining for the days when I was adding PB to my yogurt to get in the calories.

I am, 6 ft. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror getting into the shower last night and parts of me (legs, upper back, shoulders, forearms) looked downright skeletal. Some of that could be fixed with strength training, which is my plan once I'm cleared to lift stuff in 4-6 weeks. But I don't think I'll know the "right" weight for me for a while. It's like a math problem, current weight+strength training-plastic surgery=1??lbs

and you're so right about the two years out part. No sense freaking out now when it's a very long road ahead!

Good Afternoon!

QOTD: I love everything except mushy romantic comedies. I prefer TV shows (Walking Dead, Grey's, The Fosters, etc. I like Speed with Sandra Bullock, The Die hard movies...more recently I thought the new rendition of Beauty and the Beast was really well done.

My surgery was yesterday and I've been occupied with constant sitting and sipping, haha! I had gas pains so bad when I woke up that I thought it was a heart attack. That gas is no joke. Man.

I made my DW take me walking every couple of hours around the hospital and the gas is still there but tolerable. I got released earlier today because all my vitals were good. The woman next door to me was moaning in pain and refusing to walk for the nurses. I felt really bad for her.

I've got about 26 ounces of water in already! Only about 50 more ounces to go!

Diet for the next 2 days: broth, decaf coffee, water, crystal light, sugar free popsicles, jello, and pudding. I can start having two protein shakes a day on day 3. Yay!
