My experience with that was with a bit of turkey burger. I didn't get sick but it was the closest I have gotten to getting sick. Still haven't ate turkey burger again since and that was two years ago!! Still I learned from it and have made sure to slow down since then. :)

Had VSG on 9/28/15

Lost 161 lbs since surgery, LOST 221 lbs overall so far!!

I can totally see that happening with turkey burger. Lucky you for not getting sick!!!

Thank-you for posting that,Shannon. I will try to keep that in mind. Knowing me, I will probably have to learn it the hard way, too. It sounds awful!!

I think most of us do. It's hard to be cognizant of your chewing. For so long we paid no attention to how fast or how much we ate, it's a big change.

BTDT. I didn't actually throw up, but I was completely miserable for about 20 minutes. And have done it several times after that. Guess I"m a slow learnner.... LOL. But negative reinforcement is a good motivator. I remind myself to slow down at pretty much every meal because I don't want to be miserable.

Yes! That was awful. I was definitely hyper-aware if my chewing today. Don't want that to happen again.
