Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Wednesday 12/6/17
I was on liquids only for my 2 days at the hospital. I was on what they called a "blended" diet from the time I got home until about 10 days post-op (basically purées), the some very soft additions for another week or 2, then a planned progression through everything else. It was at about 8 weeks when everything tolerable was allowed (though they suggested another month for steak which I did wait for).

Hey gang! Been so tired at the end of the day I haven't felt like posting. Being back to work sure proves how much healing your body is still doing, that's for sure!! No pain, just exhausted, but each day is easier than the last!
QOTD: Flying, definitely. Like Cecily says, to get around without having to deal with traffic would be awesome!!!
B: Dannon L&F 80 Greek yogurt w/natural peanut butter and Fiber One cereal, coffee w/H&H and xylitol
L: Turkey sausage snack bites, Swirls cheese sticks, grape tomatoes

Only one day left of my orientation, then the real work begins. I can't believe I'm a CNA ready to go on to get my degree as an RN. A year ago, if someone told me I would be WILLING to do the hard labor of a CNA for a chance to better myself, I'd never believe you. I have to admit, I'm a little nervous about it. I'm hopeful though.
QOTD: Is there even any other choice but to fly!? I love birds and their beautiful wings. I would choose to fly, but I would make a little change. Not just fly, but also have large, beautiful bird wings.
Breakfast - Nature's Own Wheat + Protein break, greek cream cheese (I know, I know, I need a new breakfast! It's just so good, fast, and perfect in calories, carbs, and protein.
Lunch - 1 chicken tender and some steamed broccoli
Dinner - Hamburger meat with about a tbl of cheese mixed in (yum!)
Snack - Protein bar, half of a premier protein in my coffee
I've had the same two breakfasts for 6+ months. I always eat either yogurt w/ nuts or eggs and sausage. Literally, the only time I haven't is when I've stayed in a hotel and had to make do with the hotel breakfast.

I can't get eggs down. I think I've just over egged.
Absolutely nothing wrong with eating the same meal over and over. Especially if, as you say, it is "so good, fast, and perfect in calories, carbs, and protein". Why mess with a good thing? As long as you are varying your other meals and it keeps you on track... Don't fix what ain't broke.

I try to vary my meals, but I sometimes fall into what I know works lol! Also, when I buy meat I try to make sure to use it before it's frozen. So I've had a lot of porkchops this week.
With only the occasional change, I have eaten the same thing for breakfast and lunch every day for the last 6 months lol. I even sometimes go days where I eat the same dinner as well. It's so funny how getting your mind in the right place and finally losing the focus on food, that it's easy to eat the same thing. I'm like, "This tastes good, it's filling, it meets my daily requirements, perfect!" That's all that counts anymore :)
I may get more adventurous and try new recipes, etc., once I reach maintenance, but while I'm losing, this works great for me!
