Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Tuesday 12/5/17
Good morning.
QOTD: The thought of setting goals for 2018 gave me pause and saddened me a little. My work life has been in a bit of turmoil since the summer. I've transitioned to a new job and I'm spending every waking moment here. I hardly get any exercise. I only walk on the weekends. I was so excited about this job and i feel like it has taken over. I keep thinking as soon as I get my speed up I can go back to my old way of life. Starting to wonder if it will ever happen. It might be time to join Orangetheory and just schedule it as part of my day. I am worth it! I've worked so hard to get here... only to have my job be my entire life.
B: yogurt and coffee
L: salad and chicken sausage
D: barbecue if I have time to get it. Otherwise it will be leftover turkey tacos
S: jerky and cheese

QOTD: My goal is to follow all of my surgeon's instructions (I'll start a "regular" bariatric diet around mid-February) and to exercise at least once a day in order to make the most of my first year of losing!
I would LOVE to get down to an XL by Summertime. This may be too ambitious, since I am currently in a 3X-4X in most clothing and I haven't even had my surgery, but it would be so nice to be able to buy clothes at a store that's not specifically for large women. I've also never worn a two piece bathing suit (And I doubt I will...people say the loose skin won't be too terribly bad because I'm in my 20s...but I bet it's going to be PRETTY bad, haha!!)
Honestly, it doesn't even bother me. When I stepped on the scale this morning and it said 351, I almost cried....to think...soon I'll be below 350! I'm getting emotional now just thinking about it!
B: Premier protein shake with decaf coffee and splenda
L: extra lean ground turkey stuffed in a roasted bell pepper with tomatoes and onions
D: Turkey "chili" (tomatoes, chili powder, onion, bell pepper, zucchini) 1.5 cups including liquid
NO SNACKS

QOTD: I've started working on my 2018 goals already, but one of the big ones is to get to INELDA training. It's actually being offered in the DC area in both May and November, so there's no reason why I shouldn't be able to make it to one!

2: leftover quiche
3: chicken pho
4: second protein shake
liquid and vites: on track

Wow Gwen! What a worthwhile and generous goal. It takes a special person to work with people in the end of life but it is so important. My daughter had what a friend called a "beautiful death" at the age of 32, partially due to in-home hospice support and also the support of family.
