Tummy control wear after surgery
Don't be too worried. Everyone is different. My surgeon sows the larger incisions extra tight to prevent hernias. So the pain I was having was from internal stitches. Everyone else seems to have a lot less pain, let's hope that will be you too!
I wore a tank style body shaper from almost the start. I had one from before I had lost any weight so it was not super tight. It allowed me to wear my looser jeans to work 7 days after surgery and to prevent my incisions from being rubbed. I liked the way it supported me a little. I still wear body shapers most weeks but not every day.

I couldn't stand having anything rub on my incisions. I ordered a ridiculously oversized flannel nightgown (my husband dubbed it "the single un-sexiest garment in the history of the universe") that probably looked ridiculous, but at least I was comfy!

I love it. We refer to my surgery recovery dresses just as "the ugly dress."
