Good morning,

Qotd when my nieces and nephew were little, I wrapped their presents up and I wouldn't put names on them so they would try to guess but I wouldn't tell them. I was a snooper when I was young.

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple

D chicken, green bean casserole and seven layer salad

Good morning! Still have a cold. No news there. Today I go to the surgeon for my pre-op appointment before hiatal hernia surgery on the 13th.

QOTD: I was never a snooper. Ever the rule follower! Living alone, there is no one to hide things from, so I just throw the bags in a pile until it's time to wrap.

B - coffee and yogurt

L - grilled chicken

D - chicken soup

S - ?? Not feeling hungry or inspired right now, but I'll find something

The weather in Phoenix is beautiful. Finally below 80 degrees.

QOTD: When we lived in GA we put them in the attic. Now that we are back in Phoenix and our rental house has NO storage we put them in the garage in an old moving box or hide them at my in-laws. I've also told my 9 and 18 year old (who are still at home - 3rd is on her own) that anything they see goes BACK to the store. So, even if they do see it, they don't tell me and then I don't feel bad. I used to snoop when I was a kid.

B - coffee and HH - 1/2 of a Quest bar (I'm not inspired for breakfast this week)

S1 - 1 hard boiled egg

L: 3/4 cup of turkey chili

S2 - lite string cheese or yogurt?

D: - 3/4 cup of turkey chili or left over tacos

I had a rough night. Teddy was up from about 1-4, and I spent over an hour trying to sleep on his floor. I haven't gotten in a morning walk with the new dog in days because we've had a rough sleep week. I'm having a "hungry" day. It's a whammy of sleep deprivation, stress, and PMS. Trying to stay strong.

QOTD - I was such a snooper! I perfected the ability to unwrap gifts and rewrap them without anyone knowing. I was such a good kid, so this was the one bad thing I did. I hide gifts in the attic and spare room. My son is still tiny, so I don't have worry about snooping.

B - dunkin donuts coffee, cottage cheese

L - shrimp

S - protein shake

D - chicken, broccoli

So good to get on here and read all this. I've been needing it.

QOTD: we didn't do holidays, but if there was something that involved upcoming gifts that needed hiding, well it never stayed hidden from me. I was reading Nancy Drews around 4 or 5, so I was an uber sleuth.

Food is what it is. Thanxgiving my girl was injured and I am taking care of her first and foremost. Send sweet Frenchie prayers. I'm hoping we avoid surgery. But we may have a herniated disc. I will know more next week.

I'm so glad to have OH to help distract my mind.

As someone who worked as a bank teller for a while - adults do not understand money at all either :P

Today was an important day for me since I saw my surgeon about my complications. I posted about that over in the plastics forum. The short version is that I feel a huge sense of relief. 22 days to get healed for winter vacation! I think I can do it. Due to the timing of this appointment though, and fears of a wobbly stomach, I didn't actually finish getting meal #1 into my body until around 2pm. So I need to work on my protein! I've also started skipping more pain medication and just using Tylenol, so this is awesome improvement. Still going to keep my bedtime valium for a bit longer though. Otherwise my legs cramp up.

QOTD: Thankfully where to hide things now is a non-issue. I think, when I was a kid, I probably snooped once. And after ruining a surprise once, I never wanted to do it again! (And this is from someone who HATES surprises.)
