Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Wednesday 11/29/17
Good Morning! I've been up since just before 4am because some toy fell off my kid's bed and woke me with an adrenaline rush and I couldn't go back to sleep. I'm going to be working the kid's Scholastic Book Fair at school today, so I'm off work. I made some amazing roasted butternut squash and brussel sprouts last night, and I'm looking forward to having another 1/4 cup as leftovers for lunch with my chicken
QOTD: Is there anything in your life you wish you could relive in your new body? Something that was particularly hard and would have been easier with less weight? This weekend I was thinking that maybe I would have actually enjoyed PE class as a child if I wasn't overweight? I have a friend who plays softball and she's always trying to get me to join. Maybe I should give it a go.

Good morning!
QOTD: I'm preop, but I imagine everything will be easier. In my early twenties, I went to a lot of shows and concerts with friends. Often, I didn't fit in the chairs and I had to ask for another place to sit or stand. This still happens and it's so embarrassing. I can't wait for the day that I'll fit in a normal sized chair.
B: premier protein shake CHOCOLATE YUM!
L: 3 oz. Baked chicken breast, half a yellow squash sauteed with onion and garlic, and a spoonful of broccoli
D: 5 oz. Salmon filet, some kind of veggie
S: 1/2 cup vanilla nonfat Greek Yogurt with a spoonful of PB2
Happy Tuesday everyone. Erin... Mmmmm... butternut squash... nature's candy.
QOTD: I'm not far along enough yet to answer this one as it was asked, but I there was a time in my adult life where I was 125 pounds. I can say that I can't wait to get back to the point where I can use a seat belt in the car, ride a horse (without killing it), scuba dive, take an airplane ride without having to pay for two seats, and sit at a table or booth in a restaurant (without the wheelchair).
M1: ½ protein shake, coffee and ½ cup of 2% fairlife milk, and a soft boiled egg
M2: Other ½ of protein shake
M3: Remainder of the blue crab salad with ParmCrisps
M4: Soft boiled egg
M5: Beef ribs (sous vide and then charred) & some time of green leafy veg
S: Jerky and/or Kay's Protein snack
E: Cleaning out closets today
Water (really good!) and vits on track

Good morning! Sorry you had a rough night. I would have been up the remainder of the night after that as well.
QOTD: When we travelled pre-WLS, I found that my feet and back would seriously compromise my ability to sight-see. I'd like some do-overs, especially in Italy and NYC. NYC Should be possible, but I don't know about Italy. We are talking about doing a 3 week trip to Northern Ireland, Scotland and Paris in September, so hopefully it will be much easier on my body now.
1 year, 8 months post-op, maintenance:
B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese, and Canadian bacon
L: Turkey salad
D: Grilled meat of some sort and salad (going to a friends for dinner)
S: yogurt

Good morning! I found out the hard way that I need to do laundry more frequently now. I'm in between sizes, and have very few pants that fit. I usually can get away with jeans, but I needed to look nice because I was presenting awards at an honor roll assembly. I had nothing clean. I ended up wearing a skirt (that is much longer now than it used to be) and frantically shaving my legs before I left.
QOTD - I wish I could relive my wedding. I was so hot, and felt huge. The ring, which I had sized a couple of months before, barely fit and I had to switch it out for a different plain band on our honeymoon.
B - latte, cottage cheese
L - shrimp
S - protein shake
D - chicken and broccoli
E - I'm going to attempt to take the baby and dog to the park. Hopefully I can manage the stroller and the leash together.
Water and vitamins on track

Is there such a thing as an unhappy NSV? If so, this would qualify! Sorry you had a frantic morning.

What an absolutely awesome idea! I was over 350 when I got married. I'd love to wear a slinky wedding dress and do the vows over again. I'm talking to my husband about that when he gets home. I still have my bouquet and accessories and veil. (Artificial flowers).
And then we could have a new honeymoon.
I have been thinking about what my ultimate goal gift would be... and I think you nailed it Kristi!

Out of turkey (FINALLY!) so going with ham.
B: 2 scoops vanilla Nuzest Clean Lean Protein with 10 oz. unsweetened vanilla almond milk
S: 8 almonds
L: 4 oz ham, shaved gruyere and 1 piece of bacon cut into roll-up bites
D: 4 oz meatballs and a spoonful of sauce
QOTD: Not really, it'd be damaging to my mental spirit to think of too many 'what ifs'.
