You'll definitely want a good multivitamin; take 2 pills a day to get 200% RDA of everything. I use these:

Look for calcium citrate for your calcium supplement. I use one similar to this:

You'll also need an iron supplement. There are many kinds you can take, this is what I use:

Anything that has 100% of most vitamins and minerals, and then you'll need to take two a day.

You also want a calcium supplement that's calcium CITRATE.

Thanks everyone! There are some vitamins which have more than 100% of daily dosage.. The question im asking is is it possible to overdose on vitamins? :D or there's nothing to worry about?

Generally not, as most vitamins wash through our system fairly quickly and don't persist. However, there have been some findings that the toxicity levels for B6 are lower than previously thought which can be trouble when supplements are combined. For instance, the Costco calcium citrate tablets have B6 in them, and when taken in typical DS or RNY amounts and combined with double doses of multivits can exceed those limits. My doc's practice has had a few patients run into such problems. IDK if a double dose of this particular multivit would be too much (proof is left to the student!) but it is something to watch when combining all our supplements.

You should be running your B vitamins every so often...that will catch overdose. Mine get tested 2x a year I think. I take procare vitamins which have 600% of the DV - that doesn't cause toxicity. You want to not take higher if possible because B6 toxicity can cause severe nerve issues and is dangerous.

The costco ones mentioned have like nearly 600% for every 38% DV of calcium, so if you have malabsorption you will WAY overdose on B6 taking them even post-op. I take 1200-1500mg of calcium citrate a day and I'd be unable to take that.

I've had good labs with the procare brand. I also take extra iron and extra calcium as well - at separate times.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

I second that on Procare. Labs have been good. I have one coming up and will report if not. One pill a day for the vitamins, the 1200 -1500 calcium citrate w/D3 throughout the day.
