Good morning everyone and a happy early Thanksgiving. I am spending Thanksgiving on top of a mountain in Idaho with no internet or cell service, so just wanted to wish all of you a peaceful, safe and happy holiday. I don't have to do much to prepare for dinner, bringing two pies(lemon and pumpkin) plus a three bean salad. My Godmother is doing all the cooking and I just get to arrive and eat:-) But, I will be the boss of the clean up crew!!
Getting my hair cut at 2pm today. I haven't decided if I want to do something edgy and different or just re-shape it and let it keep growing long, it's to my shoulders now.
QOTD-I used to love to travel by car, but for the last 7 years or so it causes too much pain. Even if I stop a lot and stretch and walk around. So I would have to say my favorite way now is by plane. January will be the first time flying since I have lost weight. It will be nice to actually fasten the seatbelt instead of pretending it's fastened and hiding it from the flight attendant:-)
B-greek yogurt w/raspberries and pumpkin seeds
L-PP shake
S-Chai tea w/cream & stevia
D-tbd?? Attending a surprise birthday party with dinner provided, not sure what to expect?
E-Walk with dog
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to you too! Enjoy your unplugged time. See you when you get back!

I just want to answer the QOTD :)
So I don't like boats because I have this phobia of sharks. (It doesn't make sense, it's a phobia.) But I really loved doing the Hurtigruten up the coast of Norway.
Trains are fun. As a kid I did a train to Moosonee and as an adult I did a train from Oslo to Bergen through Hoth!
Planes are effective. They get me where I want to go quickly and allow me to get to some places that other modes of transportation don't allow.
I actually enjoy driving and I am the main driver in my family. Part of this is that I'm a control freak, part of it is a lifetime of stomach issues and being in a cage/car controlled by another person would just exacerbate that anxiety, but most of it is that I actually enjoy the act of driving.
However, I spent most of my life from 20-35 traveling a LOT. So now, for me, I like whatever mode of travel will get me where I'm going quickly and economically. (The economic part sometimes involves "how will I get around once I'm at the place.") I'm happiest, for now, not to travel at all - I'm still recovering from those 15 years!

Good Morning All & Happy Thanksgiving Eve to you all :)
Another busy night - worked later then had to rush to my hair appointment. My hairdresser was surprised at how thin its getting but not at the stage of cutting it short just yet! Home for a quick dinner then babysat the neighbours girls - we had a hoot of a time. Reading books and visiting imaginary zoo and park. Just adore kids. They really do put life into perspective with their innocent and energy.
QOTD: I have done a lot of travel both my Plane and Car. I think plane would be my choice as its generally taking me interstate or overseas. Have been to UK 5 times and also travelled the world for a year when I turned 21. Amazing experience. Have since travelled back to the US in 2012 - a promise I made to my sons to take them to Disneyland, Space Centre etc- so was Florida with a stop in Hawaii on the way home. Most of Australia, New Zealand and the list goes on. Lots of places seen and a lot more I want to explore - just time and $$$. Love driving too and do a lot of it. So much to see and do.
B: 2 Hard Boiled Eggs
S: Chobani Yoghurt - Protein has been down past 2-3 days
L: Chicken and slice of cheese
D: Lasagna & Salad - Hubby made last night and looking forward to it
Shirley :)
Hi, all!! First full day back home and does it feel good! Had an excellent night sleeping in my own bed and rested well. A good deal of pain around incision (10-inch vertical midline) and some lower abdomen pain but all to be expected. Good drugs help a lot but I only need a couple a day so far.
One drawback...apparently the anesthesia messed with my beverages tastebuds AGAIN. Pretty much all drinks have no distinct flavor. Lord I hope it's short-lived this time, I was just starting to be able to drink some old faves again! Lol
QOTD: I went by Amtrak round trip St Louis to Washington, DC, about 12 years ago. I fell in love with train trips. One of my bucket list items is to take the trip from Chicago on the southwestern route to LA, up the Pacific Coast, then across the northern route back to Chicago. Hopefully one day I will get to do it! I like car trips but the scenery on a train from the viewing car is amazing! Much better than interstate billboards, hotels, and gas stations! Lol
M1: Bacon and coffee w/H&H and xylitol
M2: Sirloin and cauliflower rice risotto w/mushrooms, asparagus, garlic, butter & parmesan
