Just wanting to say hello. I have been reading this site the last 2 years. I am currently in week 10 of 12 Option classes with Kaiser and am looking to do the VGS. I looked into surgery back in 2010 and put it off wanting to try doing it myself. I did get all my labs and such done and am waiting for the final Doc consult as well as the psych eval. I should be ready to go in a few weeks after my classes are done and hopefully get surgery appointment scheduled soon after. I want to thank all of you who contribute with the wealth of information given on the site.

I also went through Kaiser's very stringent program. I took 2 years to finally decide to push forward, and was just sleeved on 11/7. I'm still recovering but I have no doubt this was a good decision for me. I wish you the best in your decision making process. This forum has been a great comfort for me, and very helpful in getting my questions answered, not so much from a medical standpoint, but from an individual experience standpoint.
