Happy World Diabetes Day! Last night I switched from chewable vitamins to the capsules. I read the bottle wrong and thought I had to take 3 capsules at once instead of one capsule 3 times a day. Needless to say, I lost the meds and my dinner and now this morning I am a bit queasy. No vits for me today. Stupid mistake. I should have read the bottle better.

QOTD: I am an always connected person. My phone goes with me everywhere and is my alarm, my pedometer, my calendar, etc. And there is a computer in almost every room. My kitchen table has a 32" monitor mounted on the wall and a keyboard and mouse is standard kitchen table equipment. Oh... and Amazon Alexa has taken over our house. She controls the lights and is our stereo. We love our gadgets.

M1: Progresso light soup

M2: Pizza hut chicken and a smidge of lentil pasta.

M3: TBD

M4: TBD and a scoop of protein powder

M5: Probably soup depending on the tummy.

S: Yogurt?

E: Going to mop and steam clean all the tile in the house.

Water on track. Vits on hold except for B12 and Calcium

We both work in IT and are a very connected household, but Alexa/Google Home, etc scares the crap out of me. I truly think they are collecting data by listening. No, nope. Nope.

I guess I don't worry about it as my family is so boring, that anyone listening would just die from boredom. We don't even have interesting arguments. We do hoot and holler during football games though. The would definitely find out we are Jaguars fans! And probably hear some colorful language when someone makes a dumb play. Especially from my Mom. For a 73 year old catholic woman, she can make a sailor blush when she's watching football.

Good morning all! I had a run in with a box of chocolate covered English Toffees from Trader Joes yesterday. I should not have bought them. So high calorie and went down way too easily. I thought since I can control myself well around regular chocolate, I would be fine, but the toffee part proved to be stronger than my will to limit what I ate. I won't buy them again. My highest calorie day by far since surgery. Ugh.

And after that I got a nail in my tire, except you can't patch a "run flat" tire, so that's $350 I didn't want to spend this time of year!

QOTD: I'm an always connected person for the most part. It can sometimes veer into bad habit territory where it really ruins my ability to pay attention to just one thing at a time. Like I'll think I'm watching a TV show, but I get to the end and have no idea what I jus****ched because I was fiddling around on my iPad the whole time...

B - coffee and yogurt

L - grilled chicken

D - going out to a lecture tonight on animal tracks when hiking, so not sure. They will have food there

S - beef jerky

Good morning and Happy Tuesday(and Diabetes Day)!

I cleaned and organized my storage room downstairs yesterday and can barely walk today, so sore! Glad it's done, one of those things that nag at me until I do it. I'm pretty sure I have enough stuff for a yard sale this summer.

QOTD-I am not as connected as I used to be, now I just have a PC and an iPad. I went back to using an old pre paid phone for emergencies. I use my iPad for games, recipes and some books. The only social media I participate in is OH:-) I disconnected as part of therapy almost 2 years ago. I do check Facebook when my brother tells me about a picture I need to see of my nieces.

B-plain greek yogurt w/2tsp SF pudding mix and pumpkin seeds

L-scrambled eggs with jack cheese

S-Chai tea w/cream & stevia

D-Chicken from leftover casserole and salad(olive oil, lemon juice dressing)

S#2-1/2 apple w/almond butter

E-Walk with dog, have been lightly jogging for 10 seconds every few minutes(per Gwen's suggestion a few posts ago)

Have a safe and peaceful Tuesday!

Way to go on the jogging! Baby steps is great! You can't ever get where you want to be unless you begin the journey. Woot!
