Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Friday November 10 2017
Happy Friday! Almost the end of the week. It is going to be COLD here tonight (in the 20?s), so I need to drain the outdoor shower. We are celebrating DH?s Birthday this weekend, so we have relatives coming for dinner tomorrow. Last celebration before we leave for Florida a week from Sunday! Also, today is my last true work day (3 hours worth), as Monday is just going to the office and turning in my equipment.
QOTD: When do you decorate for Christmas (if you do) and when do you take down those decorations? I used to decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving and take them down the weekend closest to New Years. Since we will be in Florida until 12/11, our decorating will be delayed. AND it will have to be immediate as I am having PS on 12/14. This year we will just have a tree, candles in the windows and the wreaths. No time for more!

Happy Friday!
QOTD: Usually decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving. I will be in Texas over Thanksgiving. We will be in Florida over Christmas, so I'm considering not even decorating. We will see if I can stick to it.

Every day is a little better. Yesterday I got to shower! It was quite messy and totally worth it. I can't wait to transition from ace wraps to compression gear. Only a few more days!
QOTD: my one winter decoration is the wreath my parents (now mom) send every year. It arrives shortly after thanksgiving and we finally toss it in February or so :) We never felt the need to decorate when we're not home anyway!
1: protein shake
2: protein shake
3: depends on what the guys feed me!

I'm glad you are making progress. That first shower after being banned always feels so good doesn't it?

Good morning! I'm off today for Veterans Day. I just got back from my annual GYN appointment. It was my first appointment with a new doctor, and I liked her so much better than the last one.
QOTD - I decorate Thanksgiving weekend. Usually I'm so keyed up on Thanksgiving night, that I stay up and make a cranberry garland to put on our chandelier. I'm actually dehydrating orange slices as we speak to add to the garland. The tree usually goes up the weekend before Christmas. This is our second holiday season in this house, but last year we were in the middle of a major renovation so I didn't do much decorating. I take down most of the decorations on Jan 2nd, but the tree has to stay up until Jan 6th (Epiphany).
B - latte, cottage cheese
S - small skim latte from Starbucks
L - probably some chicken salad
S - protein shake
D - chicken curry
E - leg day
water and vitamins on track

You make your own garland! Your tree must be beautiful! DH use to have us keep the tree up until Epiphany as well, but we've kind of stopped that the last few years.

Happy Veterans Day, All!
QOTD: I was raised, early in my life, as a Jehovah's Witness, as were my parents, so am accustomed to not decorating. I tried to for a couple years when I was married, but my husband wasn't into it either. so its never been a big issue for me. HOWEVER, Christmas dinners have been quite a feast with friends.
Hoping to really get my butt back in gear. I went to Indy for five days for my Grammy's service there and to see my cousins that I haven't seen in a long time. I am now the smallest. THAT felt good!!! but it was wonderful to get home.
Before I left I had a clothing purge, and the day after I came back, the thrift store for a local organization that supports women and children in need or fleeing abusive homes, came to pick up all the booty. I gave them bedside tables, a bed, a writing desk and chair, probably 3/4 of my too large clothes, exercise clothes, and about 25 pairs of shoes and tennis shoes. Now I'm realizing I need to go through everything I held on to and get rid of the XXL and XL T-s I held onto because they have bulldogs or French bulldogs on them. And get rid of all my extra kitchen machines I never use... Letting go of a lot of things. I love my therapist!
