Stalled out

What do you guys do when you stall out? Surgery was Oct. 3rd. I have lost 25 pounds. The scale has not moved in 10 days. I joined a gym, drink my water- well unsweetened iced tea and I don't think I am getting a full 3 ounces a meal yet. I feel full and stop.

I ask myself "am I sticking to my plan?" If I am, I just keep on keeping on. If I'm not, I make sure to get back to sticking to my plan.

It's normal, this early post-op, to stall. The "three week stall" is a thing that many experience. This is about the time your body says, "OMFG WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?!" and digs its heels in.

Make sure you're getting at least 64 ounces of liquid a day and 60+ grams of protein.

I also use TrendWeight to track my weight because it lets me focus on the trend of my weight instead of day to day fluctuations. The latter would drive me crazy.

Good luck!

Thank you. At least I know I am not alone and the stall happens to others early on. I am just going to keep moving forward.

Stalls early on are common and it is especially frustrating when you know you are not hardly eating. Mine was 3 ½ weeks. It broke me mentally. Ha. But It made it easier to take future stalls in stride.

Its the 3rd week stall ... its completely normal.

If you fall down you just have to get back up.

Step away from the scale - it will only torture you - set a date and don't get back on the scale until then- stick to plan and things will move again.
