Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Sunday 11/5/17
Good Morning, VSGers! I'm south of Baltimore today at my friend's house. I will be heading home (on a 12-seater plane!) later this afternoon. It's been a good trip, but I'll be so glad to see my husband and kids. We will be leaving for Chattanooga on Thursday and I look forward to some dedicated time with them after traveling so much in the past weeks.
QOTD: Keeping with our thankfulness theme, what memory are you thankful for? Today is 13 years since Jon's and me's first date. He ditched a birthday party for a friend to come hang out with me and I'm so thankful for that memory because look where it brought us!
9 months post op/Maintenance
M1: Coffee w/ Miralax and Whole Milk
M2: TBD
M3: Protein Bar at the Airport
M4: Jon says he took out Pork Tenderloin
M5: Yogurt w/ Pecans (I've been missing this!)

Good morning! So far I like the time change - the light in the morning made me feel better about being up. I have to admit that a piece of homemade apple pie slipped past my lips last night - yes, the whole thing, but it WAS WORTH IT. And though I had been up in my weight for about a week I'm now down in the middle of my range??
QOTD: My most treasured memories are of my eldest daughter Elise who died 12.5 years ago. I still remember (and treasure) everything I possibly can about her. I think I still even remember how she smelled.
1 year, 7 months post-op (maintenance). 5 work days to retirement (11/13) - 2 short days, 3 long ones and one dinner.
B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: Out to lunch - maybe a crab cake?
D: leftovers - chili or 1/2 cheeseburger with veggies
S: Yogurt

Good morning! I set my alarm for 6:30 so I could wake up early today since I'll be up even earlier tomorrow. Woo! I can't believe that this time tomorrow I'll be getting put under for surgery. Today I will do last minute prep things like last laundry, getting the toilet seat riser on, and packing. Then I plan to just read. For fun. OMG.
QOTD: I'm thankful for all the time I spent with my dad in the last 17 years. I never wanted to look back on my life and think "I wish I had spent more time with my dad before he died" and I'm grateful that I know there wasn't any way I could have spent more time with him than I did. It was hard and, at times, boring (yay chemo!), but it was also full of laughter, love, and some wonderful learning experiences. I have so many happy and amazing memories with him :D
1: protein shake
2: soup!
3: protein shake
4: and another protein shake (even though I don't have required bowel prep, I've found that liquids and miralax the day before is a good thing anyway)
liquid and vites: yup!
exercise: nope!

I'm so excited for you Gwen!! Best of luck and hope you're as pleased with this one as the other two!
Kinda funny... I've had plastic surgery on the brain and had a weird dream last night that I was put under for an LBL and woke up to find they didn't do it. They put 4 IVs in me for some reason. And my list of emergency contacts that they wanted to contact to make care decisions for me was a bunch of people I used to work with, but hardly knew. Me thinks that was an anxiety dream. Brains are strange things!
Thank you! I'm sure I will be thrilled. Can't wait to be finished. :D
What a horrible dream!! I have similar anxiety dreams so I totally feel your pain. Thankfully I haven't had any about these surgeries. Mine tend to be about college these days :P

I should have asked in my first reply - are you planning on plastics at this point?

I definitely am. I have it narrowed to 2 surgeons who specialize in post weight loss plastics. My gastric surgeon suggested waiting until 1.5 years post WLS, which would be August. So just planning right now, but both surgeons post surgery videos on Instagram, so I think the videos plus my general anxiety led to the dream!
I'll be thinking about you tomorrow - I'm sure all will go well!
