We're supposed to read those things? I always toss mine in the recycling bin on the way out of the clinic door.

But.. how will you know that you're fat if you don't read them?!

It's probably automatic... if your weight/BMI is above a certain threshold, it simply adds the statements to your printout.

At 150 lbs, body fat 21%, size 6, my BMI was in overweight category- 25.4.

as i was leaving- at the checkout counter I got a printout about weight/eating modification to lose weight.

Really?

it is not only urgent care - but any organized - large centers that are doing that - having that.

Really!!! What are they thinking, someone said " your fat"? At your weight you are certainly not. What are they thinking.

Sorry you had to go through that hope you are feeling better.

Seriously? When my son was body building his BMI was off the charts and he could not get life insurance. It was NUTS as he had the lowest body fat and was the healthiest ever.

Seems like this place is using print outs as a substitute for consult with a medical professional. Not a good option.

My old pharmacy used to give me a big wad of print outs with every prescription event though I had taken the stuff for years. Had to put it on a bad and staple it shut and so forth. Then I got to medicare and changed pharmacies. The new one doesn't give me all that crap if I don't want it. I can't think of how many trash cans of paper that must be. Who needs it. Diane s

I'm shocked at how many staples are on my prescription bags. The bag stapled shut with two, then the description paperwork is stapled to that, if you have more than one prescription they staple each bag to the next, then they staple the receipt to the whole mess. I get stabbed at least once trying to get inside...

For some reason your post reminded me of an experience I had many years ago. I had lost about 50-60lbs and was feeling really good about myself. One day, I was on the elevator at work and some guy gets on and says, "when are you due"? Let me tell you, I wanted to punch that guy out.
