That's exactly what my wife did. She paid a neighbor kid to buy candy for her.

My parents were exactly the same way with "fun food". I remember eating a lot of Capt'n Crunch and macaroni and cheese at my friends houses. I kept Doritos in my closet:-)

Froot Loops and Kraft Macaroni and Cheese were

my friend-house favorites!

Good morning! I feel guilty, but we will just be leaving a LARGE bowl of candy out tonight. My elderly dogs cannot take the excitement of people coming to the door, so we will be going out to eat and leaving the house dark (except where the candy bowl is). That way the dogs won't hear them and will just sleep.

QOTD: Milky Way by far. I could eat a bag of those babies super quick. In the past, I would buy my candy ahead and then need to re-buy a bag or two to replace what I ate. This year I bought stuff I don't like (candy with peanut butter or peanuts in it - I do not like chocolate and peanuts which I know is weird).

1 year, 7 months post-op (maintenance). 9 work days to retirement (11/13).

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: Shrimp

S: yogurt, baked apple

My Halloween plan is to hang out at home with all the lights off. I assume we'll still have one or two kids knock on the door, but we'll ignore them. Have I mentioned that I'm not a holiday person? ;)

Yesterday was awesomely productive. I grocery shopped, washed the car, made 48 little sous vide cakes, and even got some school work done! Yay!

Today I'm getting a hair cut and I've decided to let it grow out. I shaved my head for St. Baldricks 6 weeks after VSG and then I kept it short, so post-VSG Gwen has never had hair longer than an inch or two. It's weird to think of growing it because I have no idea what I'll look like with longer hair - since I don't look like I used to! But the intention has been set.

Other than that, I feel like I'm coming down with a cold so, while I'm out, I'll swing by the store for meds and soup. Then there's school work!

QOTD: Reeses pumpkins. I love all the holiday shapes - they've got the best chocolate to peanut butter ratio! I've only had one this Halloween season so I'm pretty proud of myself for that. :D

1: protein shake
2: soup of some sort
3: leftover night - I think there's a piece of brisket in the fridge that no one else is claiming, so I'll probably eat that if it's still edible.

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: nope!

Soooo right about the Reese's shapes! Excellent ratio of peanut butter to chocolate.

They are the best. I hate Easter season when there are 50 billion different varieties of Reeses eggs in abundance :P They still call my name when I pass them in the store (so I try to NOT pass them in the store)! :D

I swear they do something to the Easter eggs, they are in my opinion the best of the Reeses shapes!

Happy Halloween! I'm still debating whether to hand out candy. I've always ended up eating more than I give away, even when I buy candy that isn't my favorite. Not sure I'm up for the temptation...

Off for a 6 mile hike this morning over the coastal hills.

QOTD: My absolute favorite is Reese's peanut butter cups, but anything with chocolate and peanut butter/peanuts makes me drool.

B - coffee and yogurt

L - Real Good pizza

D - chicken and superfood salad

S - Halotop

Good morning all! Working on finishing my resume today. It has been a terrible mental battle. Every time I pull it up to work on it, I get mad, sad and a whole slew of other emotions. 17 years of blood, sweat and tears and they just 'poof' let me go. Not fair is an understatement. 3 years from early retirement. And they knew I just had this surgery. Now I can't afford after care, nut appts, and half my meds. (Good thing that the doc has already pared down my med list from 20+ pills a day to less than 6!) Sorry to be Daisy downer today.

QOTD: My favorite candy is anything with nuts and chocolate. But I hardly ever ate candy before, and have no desire for it now. I'd rather have a pork chop.

M1: ½ cup Moo Goo Gai Pan

M2: TBD w/ a scoop of protein powder

M3: Leftover stuffed chicken roll

M4: FF gravy w/ a scoop of protein powder

M5: Scallops

S: SF jello and a LC Cheese wedge

E: None.

Vites and water: Beginning to hate the Celebrate chewables, I'm going to switch over to capsules as soon as I run out. I don't need the added carbs and they no longer taste yummy. I now dread them. I'm barely making my 64 oz of water a day, but it is getting easier
